If you have 2 ethernet cables plugged into your pc make sure to select Ethernet 2 when you do the exploit and before testing your internet connection uncheck the "Connect to the internet" option then check it back. That should let your ps4 find your ip

Bit of an update for you, I used the new release as of about an hour ago from the github on a Pi Zero 2W with a waveshare Ethernet hat, it takes about 30 seconds per attempt now so the processing power required is dropping significantly and quickly. This is my new setup so I can free up my Pi4 for other things!

I have a slim model and updated from 10.50 to 11.00 for this and for the life of me i CAN NOT get past defeating KASLR. Sometimes the PS4 crashes at "Sending IPCP configure ACK". Tried different cables, different UI's, bins, payloads, rebooting, rebuilding the PS4 file system... NOTHING is working. Hopefully something will be updated to help us out because i know im not alone with this.

I tried it on PS4 pro 11.0 and the gui mostly crashes the PS4 mid stage 1, sometimes the jailbreak might fail to search for curropted __ and the PS4 won't crash and will retry the jailbreak but eventually crashes the console

Using a RaspberryPi 3B+ it takes around 40seconds to a minute, I don't mind as I can boot the PS4 and just leave whilst I make a coffee.

That's called a tethered jail break. One that would be untethered would be called custom firmware, literally replacing Sony's operating system from where with a custom version that is jailbroken from the start. As far as I'm aware there's no custom firmware for the PlayStation 4. I don't think there will be either.

Turn off network connection and put the ps4 in rest mode and it stays. Make sure to tick the turn on rest mode setting in goldhen also.

@@hassanbenhalli You can launch this on windows/mac/linux, somebody will make an android port soon enough to push the payload and you will be able to do it by phone, you can do it with a dedicated raspberri pi, someone will end up making a dedicated payload pushing ethernet device like theyve done for hacked nintendo switches... @@yurty6253 My guy, you don't have to turn off network connection, I hope you haven't been doing that the whole time... as 11.0 is not the most recent firmware anyway, the console wont connect to sonys PSN network, and goldhen blocks all connections to Sonys servers. You can literally JUST put the console to sleep, its fine.

This exploit won't work for 11.02 as it was patched, you'll be waiting a while for the next exploit. If your good with soldering then you can revert your PS4 if you really want to, or if you have the money to spend buy a 9.00 PS4.

My fat ps4 also can not successfully complete the jailbreak. Usually, it's an error abouth the corrupted memory or items, but after a few non successfully attempts with the same outcome, it srashes the console, and it shuts down completely. My best guess is that's either because the account was connected to psn at some point or it's something hardware related. I've tried like 100+ times and with no success

I notice that all the videos I watch for the PI instruction show a folder to put in the root of the SD card for the Pi but when I download the Zip it extracts to a tar.gz and that then extracts to a tar??? which format goes in the root of the SD????

@@llbranco thanks for the hard work! @ioakim9528: there already is a 9.00 usb version but it isn't permanent. This vurnability is specific for the PPPoE protocol and was fixed in version 11.02 so this method is currently only usable up to 11.0. But you never know what the future will bring.....

There is years between each exploit, it's not something that can be forcefully pushed. This particular ethernet exploit works up to 11.0, then sony patched it in the next update. Now someone has to discover a new exploit and work around it, and it takes time, now even more because they will be working on making this one more stable. My strong suggest is not to wait, try to get a ps4 under 11.0 as soon as you can, the more time it pass the hardest it is

Still it seems pretty inconvenient if you want regular network access after the jailbreak. It would be nice if they could add support for automatic bridging a USB Ethernet adapter to the Pi‘s built-in Ethernet after a successful exploit. Yes, it won‘t be full speed, but better than changing cables all the time or relying on WiFi.

My PS4, when doing the connection test, does not recognize my laptop and does not try to recognize an IP, so it does not go beyond stage0 and waiting for PADI I already made a bridge between wifi and ethernet I also shared the adapter I have used usb-ethernet adapter My cable works fine from the laptop to the router and from the PS4 to the router but not between them I also already used a crossover cable between them I can't find what else to use. You can run it on an openwrt router already. Just use a linux build for the corresponding architecture. My router works perfectly fine with the linux mipsel build for instance.

I just found my PS4 was on FW 9.00 that I had stored in the basement, so I followed an older video of yours and I have the exploit being sent from a pi zero w and I updated the golden from the 2.0bxx that was on the image to the 2.3 release, what is on the 2.4bxx release that's new? is it needed? now that I've hacked it I really have no idea what to do with it.
