This song is just so immersive to be a children’s song. Amazing.

At our local swimming pool as a kid, I got to watch the lifeguards and advanced swim team do an aquatic show with all Beatles music. Yellow Submarine always reminds me of this. All our lifeguards were total hippies, that was a BONUS!

This started off as a mixed John and Paul composition. Paul claimed credit for the inception and creation of the song for many years but there's a demo on the recent Super Deluxe version, which I highly suggest listening and reacting to, of John singing the verses. The original lyrics were "In the town, where I was born, no-one cared, no-one cared." Paul said he thought of the chorus when he was drifting off to sleep. So they mixed John's verses with changed lyrics and added Paul's chorus bit and we got a lovely song.

This is always a part of Ringo live set list. Paul's never did this live. The only Ringo song I know Paul and Ringo did live together was "With a Little Help from My Friends".

Not a real part of Revolver and obviously doesn't fit the album, only for the yanks.

The UK Revolver was just like the US version but with more tracks.

Obviously it does fit the album, because it’s a Beatles Album. A perfect joyful song they splits up one of the greatest albums ever.
