The last possibility is that he is a sincere believer who thinks better help is fine, at least for those with less severe issues like general life stressors and either fails to understand that it's absolutely awful for anything beyond minor anxiety or feels like that's communicated well enough to the audience (it isn't). Neither would be super exonerating IMHO, but are possibilities nevertheless. Unfortunately, I suspect what's most likely is that he simply needs to make a living somehow and it's difficult for many people to turn down a paycheck when they need to feed their family, and either tries not to think too hard about it or mentally justifies it to himself despite all the comments trying to warn him. Neither of these are meant to be me offering a defense for it, and I despise better health. Rather it's just possible explanations for why he may be doing it.

Personally, I think the Rumble fruit would be extremely useful. You're effectively weather immune, you can't be hurt unless you want to be, you can travel at the speed of lightning, you have an infinite source of electricity, you can presumably fly and "teleport" short distances as well, and since its a logia, you have control over whether it's in affect or not. Major perk: you can literally revive yourself if your heart stops.

You’ve missed what is arguably THE single most useful devil fruit. It incorporates aspects of multiple fruits that are listed here in fact. The mira mira no mi that Brûlée has. It has probably the best cloning ability of every devil fruit, as the user can effortlessly transform themself and others, and match the strength and movements of those they copy perfectly, it can absorb attacks and then reflect them back, and it gives the user access to a pocket dimension that they can enter themself which is connected to every mirror in the world that basically gives them fast travel capabilities spanning the entire globe. The mirrors in the pocket dimension even have a voice activated search function that allows you to gain information on things the mirrors have seen or heard. It’s utterly ridiculous. If someone competent ate that fruit, it would easily be recognised as the most busted.
