I found a numbers matching low mile 1966 Sting Ray Corvette here in Germany about two hours South of my house. Enjoy the video.

Hey Roger, Eric here from J5 IOD days in Wiesbaden. You are definitely living the dream in good ol' Deustchland. Love your builds and showing how much the Germans love our US "oldtimers" as they call them.

I do hope he has that trailer hitch set-up for a draw-tite style instead of just using the bumper.
@Karolilalu5 ай бұрын
Oh that trailer hitch is part of the frame. Welded it myself. It doesn't use anything from the bumper for support. All frame with too much support bracing.

That interior rules!! Here I am at my Austrian friends house in Long Beach visiting from Orlando…looking at that Daytona Turkey Rod Run shirt. Our Hot Rod club attends every year. Super cool project and workshop. Yes, those rims and sidepipes go perfectly with that interior JT: Orlando Misfires CC

Congrats to your C2 ! Its a cool project. I am not so far from you, located near Idar-Oberstein. I own a 66 Roadster 427/425 4-speed. Currently I do a frame off of a 1968 C3 roadster. Going to rebuild it as a L88 tribute. If you have any questions regarding the C2 engines, suspension...what ever, let me know. Cheers

Just like the ‘55 Nomad I for which I recently traded. Previous owner took it apart, 30 years go by and never got it back together. This Corvette is a cool car.

Love this new project. I just recently picked up a 1959 Corvette that was sitting in a barn for the last 48 years. Good luck with the project, I know you'll do it up right.😢

Saw a 66 at a car show last night, no bumpers, 6 taillights, white, flares very badass.
@1Cobranut5 ай бұрын
It may look rough, but that looks like a solid car to me. Even the mods are tasteful, if a bit dated. 😎 That's an interesting trailer, but it sure looks like the axles are too far forward on it. If you were carrying a longer vehicle, it would be difficult to get enough tongue weight to prevent it swaying.

Where to start. Whatever you paid for the 66 is worth it. I read where people write, ditch this, add that, it's a beautiful car and it's yours to put your signature on. I'm curious on what size tires you have. Don't fear the headlamp installation, there are videos, I did it with mine and just took my time. If that was mine, I wouldn't change a thing and just finish it. It's beautiful. Looking forward to the next video. You have good friends. Take care and stay safe.

Adding the two extra taillights (one each side) was very common mod in 1960s … matched the 6 taillights of the BelAir.

I grew up in Idaho USA and my 8th car at 18 was a 73 914 with a Chevy 350 and fender extensions. I bought it for 400 dollars and needed to borrow back 10 for diapers for the baby. So it was 390. Sorry what power plant does the Porsche in the garage have?

@@Karolilalu Good luck on that Corvette, she's nice. This is the first video of yours that I see. Do you have a video on the Nomad? I love the fact that you're hauling with it. I'd like to know about your whole tow setup. I tow professionally, but I'm used to 1 ton trucks and larger. I know wagons and large sedans were the tow vehicles in the past, but I just have zero real world experience with that. Edit: Does that dash thingie pop up? Info please! 👍😁

Short story long they never made Gas tanks out of aluminum for any corvette ever made NEVER. They are stamped Tin with crimped seal between the metal pieces top and bottom.
