If it were not for the Bad Boy Pistons, the Bulls would have never won 6 titles.... The Pistons made the Bulls mentally strong and with that, the Bulls became great...

CJ Jones Damn right CJ, they will NEVER be another Golden Era of Basketball like the 80s & 90s, today's soft teams jack 3s, don't play D, and have No real big men playing center, in the 80s & 90s it was inside out, now its outside in.
@tragicjohnson89617 жыл бұрын
Skeefoo Panama because the game evolves,sadly alot of fans don't evolve with it,basketball in the 80s were pretty much a nightly mugging as stars played for 40 mins and got bruised and battered causing injuries,the reason why Stars rest today is to extend their careers,sitting out 10-15 games a season to have some extra months in your career is a worth it deal.Teams shoot threes today because it wins games,if you were to rely on pure post upsmtoday,you would get battered by teams like the rockets and warriors.Teams today still play defense but more of team defense than individual defense.The reason for this is because hand checking isn't allowed anymore so they rely more on zone schemes.

I didn't like 1990s NBA because there was less parity it felt like because of the dominance of the bulls. The league was all about one Michael Jordan . It wasn't really fun at all if you werent a Jordan stan. Didn't feel like anyone else had a chance and the league was so static not much change. I believe this era is better. From 2005 to now there have been way more champions than there was in the 90s. The emergence of different teams is fun.

Laimbeer was the type of player that you didn’t like if he wasn’t on your team but if he was you knew he was gonna do what he had to win and that made you appreciate him.
@PhilBurr10012 жыл бұрын
They had arguably the best backcourt in the game at the time with Dumars and Thomas. The league's best rebounder in Rodman. A premier scorer in Mark Aguirre, not to mention he was a 25+ ppg scorer in Dallas. A good shot blocker in John Salley, though he was more of a hype man. A good low post presence in James Edwards. Bill Laimbeer, though a dirty player he was a good rebounder and usually took the oppositions top PF out of the game. And lastly Vinnie Johnson who was a potent scorer.

One of the rare times Mike actually lost in the playoffs. After losing in 90, the Bulls became a dynasty.

MrEazy7468 ....the Bulls lost alot of times in the playoffs....from '86-'90. thats FIVE straight yrs getting knocked out bfor the Finals. MJ won just as much as he lost while with the bulls. That ain't "rarely losing".

@@ErikSchneider1975USA i never said they were littered with Hall of Famers or?elite?superstars..but when you have 2 HOFers and 3 multiple All Stars additionally, that is indeed a very talented team, historically.

@@ErikSchneider1975USA Isiah Thomas 12 time All Star Joe Dumars 6 time All Star Mark Aguirre 4 time All Star Bill Laimbeer 4 time All Star Dennis Rodman 2 time DPOY, perennial rebound champ and All Star Vinnie Johnson excellent reserve scorer. That is likely a top 20 roster of all time. Isiah was 20/10 in his prime, while Aguiire was an elite scorer for his pre Pistons career. Joe D was a very good scorer also. Isiah was one of the elite 4th qtr scorers in NBA history.

What is talent? Offense? That theory went to crap once the Pistons knew they could beat anybody if they only score 80 plus. Besides- defense take willpower and hustle, some teams have a guy ir two that commit to playing defense every night, but not all five guys on the court. Talent? There are comparable rosters league wide. This team won on heart.

In that game, MJ was the only player for the Bulls. Rest were not good enough. Pistons shut down MJ and Bulls were harmless. Pistons showed individual brilliance is overcome by team coordination. This is exactly how Magic won against Bird in their college finals.

I wouldn't describe Laimbeer as talented, but he was definitely a valuable piece and none of those teams you've named, except Portland, were more talented than Detroit lol, atleast in my opinion. Good teams of the time, but Detroit was way too deep for any of them, especially New York and Chicago, and how could you add Atlanta to this list? They only had Nique', Moses, Doc, Spud and Kevin Willis.

Jordan is overrated, the Celtics swept him in his prime, the Lakers beat him, and the Pistons manhandled him, indeed, Jordan COULD NOT win until Magic and Larry Bird retired, then when they finally beat Detroit he started his Legendary Bulls winning run, by then with Detroit finally overcame, Magic and Larry Bird retired, or they were on their way out, Jordan had his wins over a NBA left with mediocre teams, that's the only reason he 3 peated, there was just no teams in the whole league that had the talent to beat the Bulls, after They finally overcame Detroit, and Magic and Bird on the way out period.
