Yes I can identify with this. Sometimes I know exactly who I am and other times I stare at my own reflection and don't even recognise the stranger looking at me. I had a late start in life and was sheltered with my parents. Then at 23 years old I went to courses, social groups, cbt therapy like how to become present in the moment, learned to look after myself and my only partner and two kids. Was a bit of a rocky road and still is but helpful videos like this makes me not feel so crazy or alone. 😊

I am so bad at doing series. I lose interest after two or three, but I was thinking of doing at least the full INFP stack if this one went well.

I'm an Infp too, I'm getting goosebumps as I listen to you, wish I could cry but I lost my tears, though, it's good to know I'm not the only one feeling like this in the universe, thanks for the content loooooove it ❤❤

@@GeekPsychologyThere were two parts, first was when you said to come off to others who aren't so close as a thinking type, I felt that one, and secondly when you said something about the internal guiding compass like religion or something to guide our beliefs, that was strong too, the believer in me ❤

"The conscience that nobody wants to have." Words of wisdom.

Isn’t that a great phrase?
@Cuspofrevolution10 ай бұрын
I relate with the let it be attitude. If I have something like a goal or a thing to live up too I psyche myself put of it and end up doing nothing or the opposite. Just accepting emotions as they come and understanding them or untangling them in my journal helps much just to be in the moment. 😊

You have a lovely Mr. Rogers vibe. Gentle and welcoming.

Appropriate, since Fred Rogers himself was also INFP.

@@moskvaprivet I've seen the claims, and INFJ ones as well. Listen to him talk about imagination. He was a dreamer. All his characters came from his own imagination. He was also extremely values oriented. INFP fits him best.

4:29 wow, I feel like my brain just spoke through your mouth. Gobsmacked. I’m incredibly analytical but if I don’t care, I don’t care and it’s hard to shift that. As to the three questions: 1) I’m definitely a fluid Yin FI type with a strong Ne and a good smattering of Yang. 😁 2 & 3) I will need to think on these. I’m someone who has to explore questions, sometimes over days or weeks. My interest has been piqued. Thanks for sharing this video.

Oh my goodness, my nephew is INFP🥰(he's my heart). You remind me so much of him. I think my FI was more analytical when i was younger, from what i DO remember. I think its both Holistic & analytic now. (ISFP) thank you for sharing, so interesting.

I (ISFP) am definitely more wishy-washy, easy going, go with the flow. I have been for like 98% of my life! The only time I'm analytical is when it comes to writing songs. I write based on my experiences and my emotions. Which I have to analyze from many different perspectives to be able to articulate them in a meaningful way.
@GeekPsychology10 ай бұрын
Very cool! Thank you for sharing your perspective. Maybe that’s like me being analytical around my quest in life. How do you know when you’ve articulated the lyrics in the way that you want?
@TheRisingSun341810 ай бұрын
@GeekPsychology to be honest, I'm not really sure. The last song I wrote was called "Confessions" which took a deep dive throughout my history of loss and trauma. I'd like to think that it was raw and honest.

I was your typical analytical, Yang INFP. I decided at age 10 to enter the medical field (a faith-based decision), then proceeded to take every math & science class available to me. I worked while I put myself through college. I'm now a retired critical care nurse, and that life seems to have been fully realized, fully sated. However, as soon as I retired, my life began a careening course through every aspect of my INFP personality that had apparently taken a back seat all those working years of my life! Ive read Nardi's book, and realize that a day does not pass without all four brain-based subtypes checking in!

The judgemental thing is me very much. I've learned over the years to take a breath and be nice but that inner voice is hard to quell especially when someone is rude or just disrespectful.

That was helpful thank you, i absolutly relate to the analytic Yang fi, which is not spoken of enought compared to the holistic Yin fi in my opinion

I think so too. My EEG brain scan results showed me as “clearly analytic Fi”

Wow I got that King Energy ( Si ) soothing vibes by just listening to your voice... BTW this is so interesting !👍 And Tbh I'm resonating more to the yin type...😅 BTW, this video also reminds me to an old video by Leon Tsao ( another INFP ), about INTJ-like and ISFJ-like facets of INFPs. I can see relation between this video and that video. INTJ-like can be associated with the yang Fi and ISFJ-like can be associated with the yin Fi. Just my two cents...
@GeekPsychology10 ай бұрын
I don’t think I’ve seen that video, but I like Leon. I’m glad that the video is interesting. I wasn’t sure how to package the title and thumbnail in order to make it seem like something that people should watch.

Leon is a great guy. Met him in Singapore this past spring as he'd organized a workshop for me :-). Thankful. As for those two sides INTJ-like linked to more yang Fi, and ISFJ-like linked to more yin Fi, that's an interesting way to look at. I can see that..

believe me 12:25 it's so hard to be like that in real world 😅; i know cuz i'm yin fi

One more comment I'm sorry. No more after this. Leave some room for others lol. Conflicted is my underlying personality. And I've been told it by my istp partner. He drives me insane sometimes with his intensity and sometimes lacking of empathy for me anyway lol but he is right way too many times lol. Sometimes I think I have multiple personalities then realise no it's my weird self. A universe of minds. 😊

Very about Fi. That’s why you have Jeff Bezos an ISTJ billionaire that is very competitive and believes in his company but also a deeply family man. Fi is also very flighty An INTJ
