The 2018 Cleveland Launcher was a major disappointment to me. I bought one on ebay for $150 and it was average at best, for me. Now I traded it to a Senior apx. 70 years old for an original M1 that I gave my lil brother for his b-day and the old man loves it!

I have this driver. I haven't been able to hit a driver for well on 6+ years. Until now. Totally blows my mind that I have this option in my bag. I also have the launcher HB turbo irons 4-DW. Never expected I would go all Cleveland, but here I am and happy!

Cleveland has been underrated for many years with their woods and irons, with limited places carrying them, they have always been one of the 'go to' wedges...

I still use a Cleveland CG Black 3 wood that's 11 or 12 years old, and it performs better than ANY newer 3 wood I've tried and I've tried dozens! I believe the 3 wood model I use is the lightest 3 wood out...atleast it was when it was released. The thing is a point and shoot Monster! It's the only 3 wood I've ever been able to use from the Fairway.

hey al this is al in Melbourne FL. love your reviews of old and quirky equipment. I got an idea for some reviews you and your audience should enjoy. both manufacturers are before your time but have a rich history.browning the gun manufacturer made browning 440 irons (the original low profile hybrids).and kenneth smith clubs. (a custom hand built manufacturer who had bunches of golf patents we all take for granted nowadays.) they stayed in business for 70 years. many teaching professionals still game his equipment. definitely worth researching and doing a show on.

My daughter has played Cleveland woods since she was 16, she loves them! Just bought her a new driver(10.5deg, mens reg fujikura shaft) to go with her new Ping irons! I had the original HiBore driver for a while! Very underrated woods!!

Hi Alex, took a 10 year old junior for a fitting today (17 handicap from the back tees) as he needs a driver that suits him. Got a bag full of cut down clubs at the mo. Guess what driver we walked out with? Yup. This one. A flex and cut down 4 inches. Got it for £225. He's as happy as Larry and pounding it. Can't wait for summer to see how far it goes.

Like to see Clubs tested with Shafts that suit you, I believe with Current Day drivers, it is only the shaft that makes a difference, as the maximum .83 C.O.R has been reached by all manufacturers and only the shaft makes an actual difference.

I bought the 9* Turbo and really like the consistency. The sound is hard to deal with. Hitting outside is a little better than inside, but definitely loud.

Original Hibore was the first driver I hit over 300y. I think Cleveland are highly underrated outside of wedges. I'd happily game this if it felt good.

The old Cleveland launcher 460cc with a decent shaft will most likely produce similar results. Very accurate long and sounds the same too.

I tried the Cleveland driver and some others. It was very good for my low swing speed. But I found the XXIO10 to be slightly better for me. Perhaps you could test some XXIOS...love your channel.

I used the Hibore XLS many years ago...it would ring your ears if was so loud! Ended up cracking the face...I got my payback! Great video btw!

I used to have a Cleveland driver when I was 11, it was loud and obnoxious just like that. I remember it being a pretty good driver, but I turned it into a rattle in 1.5 seasons with my 11 year old speed. Hopefully they have that figured out nowadays.

AL....the man! The myth...Hope you had a great Christmas. So I have a question. Could you put a better shaft in this driver and test it again? I have seen this driver tested on other channels with that 50gram shaft and it isnt good. But I would love to see what you would be able to put together with a awesome shaft!! No mince. In Canada, you want the buche de Noel at Christmas. The chocolate cake shaped like a log. Google it. Like 7,000 calories a square inch.lol Chocolate cake, with a cream filling, and a chocolate ganache top. Off dessert and back to golf. Cleveland used to make the entire bag and had a good reputation. As I understand it sales dropped, and they got into a bit of a tiff with retailers about their share of shelf space, and the profit margin for suggested retail. While that temper tantrum was going on at the corporate level, Cleveland said they would abandon the full bag concept and just do wedges and putters. Then their 'final' iron sets had a couple good years, the wedges sold better after the last engineering change to move the COG, and the Huntington Beach putters apparently sold well too. So they took that money and are full steam ahead in the full bag market again.

I just wish it had some adjustable weights to help with spin.....otherwise I'd be giving this a serious go. Even with a Xshaft I don't think the spin will come down enough especially with my descending blow with the driver.

AL............We have face balanced Putters............why not Face Balanced Drivers, or at least a weight system that can help that. And NO, the current weight systems do not change the face balance.......... at least not the drivers I've fooled with. So see what you can do to move that on. By the way........I love the sound. Makes my stupid slow swing speed sound big. Fools the old guys.
