Those hand guards are fine for flying debris and brush. If you hit something hard enough to reach the bars on a vehicle 55 inches wide your going to have other serious issues. I don’t think any manufacturer installs bark busters from the factory because they can trap your hand,wrist or arm in the event of a crash.

It seems like many people are trying to compare it to some little raptor. It's a trail bike, if it were supposed to compete with those little bikes it wouldn't have full irs, a rear rack, or 4x4. This is a trail machine that eats up everything while doing it fast. And yes, someone who can ride an ATV would've been ideal, you can see his inexperience in the video, but I kind of appreciated it this one time.

@johnossendorf9979
@johnossendorf9979 3 жыл бұрын
@@bogdanbirsasteanu2267 I think you missed my point, and I don't think you know what a Suzuki 500 aka "Quadzilla" or a 94 Suzuki King Quad is. First, "Quadzilla" was the unofficial name for the 2wd two stroke 500cc Suzuki Quad Racer. Arbitrarily giving the Quadzilla moniker to a Polaris is sacrilege. Second, It is a given that a 94 Suzuki King Quad 300 4wd (really 280cc) would not have a snow balls chance in hell against the XP 1000 any where it's 55 inch wide ass would fit, BUT like I said "in the woods", meaning not on a trail of any kind, the 94 King Quad at 44.5 inches wide can pick it's way through some fairly dense trees and slowly walkaway from the Polaris. Just like a little 60 hp WW2 Jeep can't compare with a 450 hp Ford Raptor on a drag strip or in a race across the desert, BUT on a tight twisting trail in the woods the 62 inch wide ww2 Jeep will slowly leave the 86 inch wide Raptor behind. Offroad prowis is not always about white-knuckle horsepower and eye watering speed. Sometimes getting through "ruff terrain" is just about fitting between some trees.

@@gwood701 I disagree, 1 you don't go deep in a sport quad. You buy an XMR or HL. As for quality, I've owned 4 brands, all are pretty good quality, but Can-Am takes the cake for worst quality. I ride with 50%+ Can-Am owners, and all have issues. Honda owner wishes they never bought it, 10x in the shop for the same issue. Suzuki imo is best quality and durability. AC is good quality as well as Polaris. Keep in mind, Polaris sells the most, and thus you will hear of more in the shop, but by ratio, just as good as any other really. Lastly, North American brands seem to have higher maintenance.

No right hand front brake...well sometimes if your screw up you only want one brake applied...not sure why polaris or canam cant figure that out but ill go with snowmolbile engineers....either way im never buying a $15,000 atv. I do not are who makes it or how much HP or suspension travel it has.

this thing is no quadzilla. quadzilla was a 392 pounds dry weight machine. the scrambler 1000 s is a 881 pounds dry weight whale. i have a sportsman 1000 xp 2021 and i dislike it. they are fast machines on straight line, but a quadzilla will run circles around them. the name quadzilla should never be mentioned alongside those monstrosities. they are typical absurdly large american atv with marginal handling and straight line speed. i had a 1990 quadzilla in the early nineties and selling it is the thing i regret the most in my life. there is nothing like a real quadzilla.

I’m typically not one to blast negative comments as I understand the challenges of producing this type of content. With that said, I lost all interest when you announced your lack of experience and your inability to thoroughly review the product and how it compares to the competition in the current market. The Scrambler S is nothing like a Raptor or a TRX which is why Polaris introduced the new platform to the market. I could imagine Polaris’s disappointment. Several times you referenced the original scrambler XP 1000 like it is a current offering from Polaris however this dropped from their model lineup with the release of the scrambler S. With a publication as prominent in the KZbin world as TFL Off-road I held high expectations. I would recommend avoiding this segment and sticking with topics you can comfortably review.
