This review is on point. Just took the Goliath+ out for the first time. This board takes so much focus. Whenever I got lazy the board let me know quickly but if you flip the switch and really get aggressive this board rips.

Avran, great vid as always. Thanks! You were on a 161 wide? I know you have to take what the manufactures have available, but damn. Thank you for your service. Now imagine the board is a 162 and even wider. That is why my Lobster Sender162w is too much board for my old ass. Even with Biax and 3BT and me at 6ft size 12 with 220lbs, it's rough. Picked up the Ride Peace Seeker on your recommendation though, so super stoked for this season!!! Btw I tried to watch a good ride review for the first time in yrs. Yikes! I forgot that all snow boards have no specific flex points and are to be ridden off the back foot because they are essentially surfboards. Say no to beastiality kids.

Do you think the salomon districts are a ok combo with salomon assassin/assassin pro? I am currently using the salomon pacts and need a upgrade. I couldn't find you're opinion on those bindings. I like to carve hard but also freestyle, I was curious about that lateral play on the shadow bindings.

I just had the chance to ride a Rossi Jibsaw, I believe it’s a 6 or 7 on stiffness and I could tail press it like a noodle (I can’t ride real noodle boards because it feels like there is nothing there). I’m 6’2 280 and I love to ride everything. Would this be a better choice for me?

Hey Angry, I'm looking at the Goliath plus and the Yes Standard Uninc primarily. I want a twin that I can learn to ride switch more consistently and help me advance. I'm 5'10" 220 built like a brick shit house. Very aggressive rider FAF charging down hill carving, hitting side hits, and bombing woods runs. Wondering which one would handle that a little better. Also I'm in the northeast so plenty of hard snow and icy days to deal with. Thanks

Obviously I am not Avran, and he already answered anyways. Just my 2 cents. I bought a 3BT board to improve my switch riding which it did, to the extent that I put the effort in. That said, I would never use it on the ice coast, except switch only days on the bunny hill. Disrupted sidecut all the way. I totally agree with Avran on the Yes option. Also any Libtech with Magne that suits your riding style - TRS, E-jack knife or Dynamo? Or if you wanted you could combine the 3D shaping and Disrupted sidecut with something from Jones or Arbor - Mountain Twin, Stratos, Aviator or Bryan Iguchi Camber etc. Dustin Craven is killing it on the Standard though...

Would the Goliath plus work better with Rome DOD or Union Ultra? Thank you. Looking for something that won’t fatigue feet too much but let’s me go fast but also hitting smaller jumps and side hits. Thanks

You're going to lose contact bite at the tips because of the 3BT. If you're riding hard snow all the time, I'd heavily take that into consideration.

Dude, skatebanana? I rode Gilson and I smashed my face on a rail, imbedding my ruroc helmet into my face. The surgeons took over 9000 pieces of it from my jaw. But I'm already healed and good to hit the big jumps so I'm definitely looking forward to this goliath review. 3 more days of waiting to see if my rotational bindings will work with it!

The change will be very disapointing. Skatebananas are super soft toys whereas the goliath "plus" which i believe replaces the old jam is a solid twin and do not forget that you will need at least one or two days to get used to tbt. I have owned several bataleon, but ride other brands too. Everytime i go back to bataleon i need at least one day. And i ve been snowboardinfg for 30 years and riding bataleon since their beginings in Europe. I suggest you to test first.

Looking at this board, the assassin, as well as the whatever and now party wave twin. Coming from an 04 forum destroyer camber. Been riding for years figured it’s now time for an upgrade. Not hitting as many jumps, more an all mountain rider, and will hit a jump or two to show my kid I still got some spring. Any recommendations.

The Whatever will be the closest to that Destroyer and won't be a total mind fuck of new technology. Just be aware 3BT rides completely different at the contact points as you lose some edge bite.

No, minimum you want a Falcor from Union but probably an Atlas or Atlas Pro.
