Thanks for your reviews! Looking for a daily and had been looking at the Stratos and stumbled upon the ME. I’m an advanced and older rider (49). Looking for something to plow through chunder and be damp off-piste , hold a solid edge on groomers at speed and not be twitchy, but be maneuverable / playful enough for daily duties with my kids and low speed slashing and side hits. I have a 158 Charlie Slasher that I love for pow days but looking for a modern camber profile board to replace my old Burton relics…158 Rippey and 1995 160 Burton Air. Any advice is appreciated!

Hey Angry, great review. I'm stuck between this and the Bataleon Party Wave plus for a pow board / (not too aggressive) resort carver. Feel like I'm leaning towards this for better edge hold in firmer / icy conditions with the wavy edges shit it's got going on. What do you rekon?

Thanks for the video Angry. Subbed. I'm in the market for a dedicated powder board. I have a 2020 Bryan Iguchi Pro Camber 167W for my all mountain already (tall rider, 6'7''). I'm super torn on the Jones ME and whether or not to get the 2023 or the 2022. There are just so so many people who've spoken so highly of the full rocker version. I found an EU website which still has 2022's available, any wise words of wisdom to help me decide what to do?

Ask yourself what you want out of the board then decide what your needs are in regards to the camber profile.

Enjoying the reviews! I’m about to buy a pow board for a Japan trip, which will also be my backcountry board in Aus (albeit that means battling some less than ideal days too). Will this be “powder” focused enough? My regular resort board is a burton Kilroy twin. Thanks mate !

Been searching for a more powder focused compliment to my 166 Maelstrom for awhile now and this seems like a good option. I’m thinking the 162w to make it a little more nimble in the trees, but with my weight being 230 with no gear on, think the Ultra is worth it to step up? Or would the new stiffer profile suffice?
@AngrySnowboarder
@AngrySnowboarder Жыл бұрын
Ultra is going to be way stiffer than your Maelstrom so that wouldn't make sense. You can do the 62w, but maybe a Hovercraft would better suit you.

I’m considering this board the new model at 158 as a dedicated pow deck for Colorado pow/trees/ free ride but also looking at the Ravine Select 158, Bataleon Camel 2 and Gnu Hyper 157 (less dedicated pow but love Gnu and board looks so nice)….I’m 511 boot 8.5 and 180 pounds…what do you think is the best board for the job out of these?

Currently riding a Stratos 161 on Union Stratas as my everyday choices. Great pow year here in UT and looking for something more powder focused. Is this a good choice for pow days? Have a pair of Union Ultra's as well, but have not been using them for much. Looks like you married these two as well. Just don't want another board that is really close/similar to what I'm already riding.

Angry, thanks for videos! I was totally sold on the Jones Stratos, given the somewhat playful/poppy nature, carving ability, float, and that you can still ride some switch. How would you compare the ME with the Stratos for exploring, charging, hitting side hits, and all mountain riding?

Hey there, thank you so much for this review. My question is very simple, i wanna get rid of my 2019 Skeleton Key, as i feel the noise flexes too much when carving a bit harder, giving the impression im gonna loose the front end. Would you recommend this one over the skeleton key, as a one board quiver, to ride japan powder a bit of backcountry and groomers? Thanks once again Cheers

Bought the 2024 MET “big horn” for my 15yr old son who weighs 175lbs and has a size 12 boot. He’s an intermediate rider looking to step it up on some jumps and park stuff while still being able to go hard or groomers and keep up with his more experienced friends. He loves powder but we get a solid mix of conditions each season. He was originally asking for the Nitro team board. Do you think the MET is good choice for him? Thanks!
