amazing timing and awareness! But they need to let kid learn to play hockey while dfending themselves form the juniors again... this is degenerating in a lost generation vs bullies on ice. You can't remove it from pro hockey, they must learn it young. Sad but true. Like ending kids to army to have a force to protect a country.

The problem is that players that didn’t believe in a specific cause were being crucified for not taking part. And they should be able to decline participating without being crucified. It was politicizing the game. Everything these days seems to politicized. It’d be nice to get away from that and just enjoy entertainment without any agendas being pushed. I just want to be entertained, I don’t care about your politics. The players’ job is to entertain, not to push their own opinions on people. If you are politically/socially minded, there are other places to get that. An athletic game is not that. I believe the NHL got it right; no special causes, period.

One huge problem with the new NHL is that instigator rule. All it has accomplished is that players don't respect each other this brings the very dangerous stick swinging and predatory cheap shots. Ovi and Sid did save the league. So much fun to watch them play. I dislike the Caps, but man it would be wild to go back in time and see what happens if the Pens took Ovi and the Caps took Sid.

It could be a lot better but I’m not sure if it’s gotten out of control. I feel like every season is like this just more people are realizing it now

Thanks for this compilation. I can’t watch it because I’m on the Eastern half of the continent and have a job. Funny how they decided to schedule themselves into failure the last few seasons. Games are ending past 1am on weekdays.

Frederic was holding on to his stick and the follow-through of Truba spinning to break free is what caused it.

As someone that lives near Hershey PA, the Bears/Caps have had insanely solid goalie coaching and development for the last 2 decades, I'm not surprised that the Caps have a solid backline even with a mid life crisis for a front line

As someone who talks all sorts of shit about NHL refs... That was really cool of the one diving in there to try to keep the dude's head from hitting the ice

With the way the officials and league office has been the last dozen or so years, I am actually surprised we have yet to have any major call outs (or maybe just more of them?) similar to how MAF did it. I really want to see a star player go all Mark Cuban and start calling things out left and right

I think the most interesting thing to happen is how shocking the Bruins have been performing. Then it caught up with them, and now (as of Dec 4th) they seem to be getting back into it. I don't think anyone saw this coming. Losing our top 2 centers in Bergeron and Krejchi, as well as lots of key players in Bertuzzi Hall Hathaway Looch and the like, we are doing so much better than initially thought, holding 1st in Division, and 2nd in Conference and League. Much better than anyone thought

I’ve always felt that $5K being the max fine is hilarious. I know not every player makes millions a year but for most of them 5K ain’t shit and won’t be missed.

My thoughts on fighting in hockey: Imagine watching a boxing match and the boxers, mid-match, went to their corners, were given hockey sticks, met at the center of the ring, the ref dropped a puck, and the two boxers started playing hockey... That would be crazy right? Exactly!

love the Edmonton oilers loosing. this team is jammed down our throats all over N America, like were all supposed to cheer for them instead of our own team.

I was an NHL fan Philadelphia Flyers fan until 1977, that's what I saw a game in person and I was turned off by fights. Hockey is one of the best visual games no fights are allowed all the way up through college hockey. When the NHL treats fighting like the NFL and the NBA I will restart watching hockey

Agree with everyone on the linesman Baker, legend!! Why NHL banning themed nights? It makes games more interesting and with the different jerseys sold makes clubs money and the charities money?!!

Wow the ref who was fast enough to protect the player’s head from hitting the ice. Maybe they have a rough time doing their job (though maybe they simply receive trash input from the League, it is a genuine possibility), but that ref did an amazing job there and we should notice it.
@michaelgnit84769 ай бұрын
I've watched the Leaf's for years as I grew up in Toronto and there is one thing I've noticed certain Leaf players either don't pass or do it rarely and I would suggest they all do it more to create indecision in defensive players minds. Because right now there are a few players who don't give up the puck and teams only have to defend the player not all the players on the ice.
