The 2024 Calendar

In future years as this project continues to grow and reach more people, it could be a cool idea to do a couple different versions of the calendar, with the calendar identical but with different pictures. For example, the dark erotic photography, I respect it greatly as art, but I don’t live alone and wouldn’t feel comfortable hanging it on my wall. I personally would buy the Nordic Animist calendar if it had art that was more appealing to me for use as a wall calendar- I imagine there are probably others who are similar. Another option with, for example, Nordic landscapes, or Norse-style art, or other things, might find more people interested in buying the calendar.

Hey @mattias5157 . thank you very much for your many recent comments. I really appreciate it a lot, - even that you are not in love with the theme for the 2024 calendar (next year we might have one that you find more agreeable). @@NordicAnimism I´m more worried about what happened to my first comment on this subject, that was critical but in no way disrespectful. Maybe it disappeared due to a technical mistake though, I´m not gonna judge you for that. I have been walking a spiritual path in native American tradition for many years and is also married to a traditional Mexican medicin woman. What your calendar represents is so far from the way of thinking in thos animistic traditions that I can´t even express it. We pray for the sacred: grandmother Water, mother Earth, the children..... I don´t even want to mention it seems I´m not a native myself and it may seem pomperous and silly. But really... A calendar in the name of animism on modern style sexuality? I guess you don´t get it since you live deeply inside the modern matrix. Let me just say one thing: No. Unfortunately my newly awoken interest in your channel is gone with the wind. I can´t take you serious after having seen this.

@@NordicAnimism I saw a video where you spoke about what was wrong with New Age, and one thing you mentioned was cultural propiation. Well, let me tell you that when Westerns visit traditional Native American cultures carrying the modern Western sexual moral, made possible only by a carefree use of abortion and pills that alters young women´s hormone levels - that is something that causes HUGE damage on those cultures, and yes, I have seen it with my own eyes. I guess we need a discussion what animism is for. If it´s not for protecting and praying for the sacred I don´t see any value in it. Reminds me of Westerners taking ayahuasca for the groove. Disgusting. Please stay as far away from spirituality of non-European cultures as possible!

@@mattias5157 I am sorry to hear that this pushes you off, so strongly that you even loose respect for my work. I guess the perception of the role of sexuality in non-christian traditions that you get from your wife's practice and knowledge tradition is very different indeed from the one I have from my life of study (and living with indigenous groups) .. @@NordicAnimism Thank you for a respectful answer and yes, "push off" is the right word, I´m myself am surprised by my strong reaction. But it had made me thinking about Nordic Animism and whether it´s per se comes with this dark aspect that we see in the Edda for example. As I´ve said earlier I live in Chiapas in Mexico and here witchcraft and voodoolike practices are abundant, and perhaps that´s one of the reasons why I react so strongely, I´ve seen people playing around with energies like "La Santa Muerte"/ sacred death" and "San Simon" / the patron of prostitutes /, believing that it´s cool, and ending up harming themselves and other people. I haven´t watched the video you linked to yet but I will. Thank you!
