Playing something else then rebirth right now is weird. I have played over 200+ games and no other games every has made me have so much joy as rebirth. I absolutely adore this game with all of my heart. And I really hope it wins goty to show people how good the game is. Because people NEED to play this.

@majincaveman2709 one of my favorite things was the amounts of minigames. They are optional. If u dont like them dont play them. Because of those complaints they are decreasing the minigames of the next game😞

@Qwibbzy 100% I played the original on ps2 back in high school. Never finished it because of that absolute BS lack of party control. Totally with you there. Playing and finishing reload felt like I had been transported back to that time. It was on my gaming bucket list. I loved how they kept the 2009 vibe to it with the flip phones and everything

The devs deserve this kind of appreciation and attention because of their hard work and effort to make this game so good. I had a rough start with rebirth, just because it came out right after I finished Baldurs Gate 3, and in direct comparison to what is maybe the best RPG of all time, it didn't stand much of a chance. I'm playing it now and really like it, it's so charming. Wouldn't even be mad if it won Goty, although it's only #4 for me out of the nominees My List: 1. Astrobot, 2. Balatro 3. Wukong 4. Rebirth 5. Metaphor 6. SoteT

@ Visions of Mana has great highs and some lows here and there that prevent it from being a masterpiece in the eyes of most gamers, but for me the highs are way too charming and as a long time fan of Legend of Mana and Secret of Mana I got everything I wanted in a modern Mana game. Super recommended, as long as you remember that the battle system and main plot fully open after the chapter 3, so as a recommendation, give it a chance at least until the end of that chapter. By the end of chapter 7 I realized it was among my top 6 of 2024.

My number 1 would be Astro Bot followed by Silent Hill 2. Number 3 is when it gets too hard for me to pick. FF7 would maybe be around my number 5 of the year, I dont like how they handled the ending.

Hey dude, accidentally clicked (no joke I missclicked) on this video and was surprised how good it is for such a small channel. Just wondering, I've never played a FF game other than the MMO (XIV), would you recommend playing Rebirth and then your GOTY as a person just getting into the series? Do they stand on their own story wise? Also what's the full names of the Rebirth & also the GOTY one? Tryna find them on Steam but I am confused. Thanks and keep up the good work :)

I'm so happy you misclicked on my video!! Lol. And that's really the best compliment you could've given me thank you so much! And I totally get how confusing the FF catalogue is. So "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" is the first one in the trilogy. Personally I'd recommend playing it but like I mentioned in the video watching the cutscenes for the first game is a valid experience for the first one if you'd rather not play or pay for it. They would catch you up on everything you need to know in Rebirth. There is also "Crisis Core Reunion" which gives you backstory of what happened before the events of the first game following Zack but it's totally optional to play/watch. It's a remake of a PSP game though so it's definitely not a full fledged game like the others and can be a bit campy at times lol. And then Rebirth which is seriously like 11/10 must play IMO. It takes place right after Remake and expands on literally everything the first game did since Remake is more of a linear experience and Rebirth is an open world. And if you enjoy end game content a lot of the optional fights felt like FF14 where I had to dodge area attacks and stuff like that. If you ever end up getting them let me know what you think 😄 and thank you again so much for commenting that.

Seems like Rebirth releases in early 2025 on PC. I think I will buy FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE since it's on sale on Steam and I'll let you know how it goes :) Keep up the good work!

I got Rebirth Platinum, which only took me around 270 hours. Easy peasy. NOT! Chadley is nuts!!! Rulers of The Outer Worlds was my biggest challenge, but I beat it.

@@Qwibbzy Yeah yeah, sometimes you can get it for like $10 and all DLCs are purely cosmetic and the oodles of content and unlockables are gained just by playing the game. One word of warning though. The tutorial isn't that great so don't let that throw you off. If you want to learn more about the game and how to play, I recommend solo cuing and asking other players in the chat. DRG has the best gaming community I have ever encountered. In my 700+ hours of playing I can count the number of toxic encounters on one hand. If you want to check out videos about the game Skill Up did a pretty good review and Zanny has some good gameplay vids. Wholesome goofy fun! I will cut off my ramblings there.

I dunno all I really liked this year was FF7 Rebirth and Silent Hill 2 Remake. I tried the demo for Metaphor but I just found it extremely boring and the writing just came across as cringey anime nonsense to me.
