Happy Saturday everyone! This is quite possibly the best new performance vehicle revealed this year and all we can say after seeing the new M5 Touring in person is shut up and take our money, BMW! Would you guys choose this over an RS6 Avant and the previous E63S AMG Wagon? Also, apologize for the noise in the background, the cleaning crew was wiping down and drying off some of the other BMW's in the background during filming and we do not have our videographer Rob with us at this event.

I think it looks fantastic and the kidney grill is surprisingly restrained compared to the current i-series cars. The green is gorgeous but with a more subdued interior and exterior color combo I think this car will look just as refined as the RS6 Avant. Hopefully they’ll sell well enough that the Germans will start bringing back wagons/estates to more of the models as an alternative to CUVs

I honestly hope it doesn't. Just in general the new M5 performance and design sucks. But also not sure why they didn't make a fastback competitor instead. Like RS7 vs RS6. Yes I love wagons but American just won't buy them. But a fastback? It will sell like hot cakes and you still get pretty similar cargo specs if designed right and IMO look slightly better

For a Wagon, I would take the RS6 every day. I own two BMWs. I would buy the sedan in an M5. I like the Audi better for a wagon! No hybrid nonsense and lighter weight.

Styling is subjective. Love the F10, however, in my opinion, the E60 is better looking. Never subscribed to the Bangle butt ugliness. But the F10 is beautiful. That being said the F06 GC is better looking then the E60 IMO

I would probably go Audi RS 6 for a wagon ( much lighter ) and M5 in a sedan. However, the trunk on the M5 sedan looks really small for such a large car so the touring might be a good choice. I have an X7 so I have a roomy SUV already.

That's the point. Everything will be keyed and require dealer access in order to service and then you'll end up paying through the nose for the most basic things. "Why am I charged for 8 hours labor?" "Yeah that's right, it took a crew of 4 guys 2 hours total." "It was an oil change!" "Yeah, one of them had to be one of our IT guys so we could open the hood."

8:33 it may feel modern compared to the F90, but in no way is it luxurious or upscale with that tacky design and Toyota interior materials. Where is the leather on the dash and door cards? The center console? $120k and you have hard plastic lower doors? Same materials as a 530i base which is already disappointing for the class. The E53’s interior destroys this. It’s like 5 steps back from the F90 M5’s fit and finish.

I like the exterior of the new M5, but I don’t like the interiors in general of these new BMWs. I’m not a fan of the sharp rectangular dash tablet or all the shiny piano black. And I definitely don’t like the loss of more buttons. If I’m spending 125K+, I really need to like most everything about the car I’m buying.

I love Sportwagons, - I have a bugeyes WRX- and bemoan their near total unavailability in the states, and the only couple here have eye popping price tags, still, good to see another good looking model coming on over. It isn’t that space efficient though, I also have a ‘24 Impreza RS (no, I’m not considering it a competitor) which appears quite small next to this, is 2300 lbs lighter but has exactly the same passenger space and cargo capacity.

Great to see a wagon. But, at its price it may just be for a wagon buyer niche market. I imagine the average buyer may go with an SUV. Wish BMW would have a regular non M trim and way way less expensive. I would consider that.

I only wish BMW could bring the 2025 550e Touring to Canada, for most people a 550e is more than enough performance- you're actually losing 0.8s of performance compared to the M5. The standard 5 series sedan cargo capacity is very disappointing compared to the touring.

There’s something reminiscent of the E60 headlights in here, also where the front fender meets the hood. Looks are subjective but this is far from being beautiful IMO, especially that fat rear end with the excessive shiny black plastic. The RS6 and MB will lead in sales. This just weighs like 2 school buses.

I'm sure this will compete well with the RS6 which seems an obvious target, but I would have much rather seen the more compact, lighter and much more affordable, M3 Touring coming to North America. The extra weight, cost and complication of plug in hybrid for only 25 miles of range are not for me. If I'm buying an M car, I'm buying it for the sporty feel not the bragging rights of the highest horsepower. But that's just me. I'd put a cargo box on it when I needed extra space!

The glass roof really threw me. The car already weighs a f-ton. Why not offer the c/f roof as an option vs a fixed glass roof? Fixed glass = weird choice. I sorta hope it sells well, just because it's a wagon. Not that I can afford either, but I'd opt for an RS6 if I was looking for a wagon in the 6-figure price range. The front of the new 5 series (like most modern BMWs) isn't attractive to me. I'd want to love looking at it as well as driving it when spending that kind of money.
