Nice package in general look forward to Cadillac making something that is iconic like the Escalade but isn’t the Escalade. I want an Eldorado or Fleetwood again that is made to be something that’s aspired to be owned for more than a lease term. The goal should be to have a car people want to create car clubs around because they create a lifestyle and have such a strong brand. Cadillac can get there if GM desires that but Hertz is so profitable I guess…

@@jakegoakes GM General Motors was the second automaker to ink a deal with Tesla to adopt its charge port. GM EV owners will gain access to Tesla's Superchargers starting in 2024 with an adapter that lets their CCS ports work with NACS. GM will begin making NACS standard on all of its EVs starting in 2025. The company also said it will offer adapters so NACS-equipped models can connect to CCS chargers. I prefer the Lucid Gravity, but still nice car. Reason is, there just aren’t as much Lucid cars as there are Cadillacs, which makes Lucid more valuable and unique. Second reason being the fact that you get more features, even if you are paying way more money than the Optiq. Third reason is obvious, the Gravity is bigger, so you also have more space for your friends and/or family members all without sacrificing practicality thanks to the help of the impressive cargo space, and the frunk, which the Cadillac just doesn’t seem to have . Although it’s mainly because Cadillac claims it “maximizes interior space”. In short, the Gravity is the better option all around.

@@elliottlee1050 Yes, it is my problem with the vehicle. I am aware that many vehicles have been sold without a spare, I wouldn’t have considered them for myself or family. As for the donut spares, my parents bought a 1976 Chevy Nova Concourse hatchback new off the lot that had a space-saver spare. With the exception of 3 vehicles I’ve owned every one has had the donut, they will get you to a safe place to get repairs. I stoped once too put a donut on for a woman with a flat in the middle of nowhere on I-5 that the renal car tow company told her it would be up too 4 hours before they could get there too help her and her grandson out. I’ve waited on a tow myself for over 2 hours in 100 + degree heat when someone hit my car in the parking lot of the State Fair. So yes for me , not you, it’s a deal breaker, why that has to do with swimming and getting wet makes no sense to me. I just want the peace of mind that I have can change the flat and get off the side of the road. With more and more manufacturers discarding the spare enTIREly, it’s just that many more cars waiting for a tow. We can never be prepared for everything, and believe it or not I had too had my 06 Silverado towed about 5 years ago because my full size spare was damaged underneath, for how long I didn’t know😂

Nice overall size/capability. Only flaw that’s obvious NOT Cadillac comfort is rear thigh support. Looks like Ultium chasis height vs keeping rear roof height caused the rear seat cushions to be too close to the floor and knees way higher than seat. That’ll hurt on a road trip. Wonder if GM has started looking at ways to get the physical size/weight of the Ultium chasis down yet? It’s easily the LARGEST/HEAVIEST of the ‘dedicated’ platforms out there. Hope so.
