The three doshas (Vata, Pitta and Kapha) are functional principles used in Ayurveda. Just as everyone has a unique fingerprint, everyone has unique combination of the doshas. When an individual's doshas are imbalanced this causes disease.
But, when an individual's doshas are in harmony this is the foundation of health and vitality. In this lecture, Travis will guide you through the physical and mental characteristics of each dosha along with general guidelines of how to balance each one.

Thank you Travis for sharing your knowledge and information.I find Ayurveda so interesting and I do use certain principles to help keep my life happy and in balance. I used to enjoy a chaotic life without any routine, constant travel and no regularity, I was very happy until I got seriously burned out. I have since learned that routine is absolutely the key - though I used to insist I didn't like regularity and timetables😅 In the past I was constantly on the go (the epitomy of nervous energy ) I couldn't stay still always wanting to please and really living in my head, people who cared mentioned how up in the air I was . To compound that I had a career as a long haul flight attendant, a job I loved. Now I'm so much more grounded following a wonderful routine of yoga, meditation and gardening with my pets . I have a deep love of nature and animals and the elements that shape our lives. I am so much happier and healthier for adopting a vata balancing routine. I live a very peaceful quiet calm life now full of gratitude, a lot less stress and can honestly say less is more ! Best wishes 🙏
