Stevie J, Woosie did win his green Jacket in 1991. Love his swing and your content is top notch! All the best!

This is GOLD this. Have been using the 52 deg a lot more recently and my chipping has improved drastically. I'll introduce full and reverse to use it in more situations.. Cheers boss

Ive just had a 54 and 50 adjusted for lie angle to suit my swing , i usually only use a 52 with very little bounce and prefer to shape shots accordingly , i find this very easy as you always know whats going to come out . Ive swapped to the 50 and 54 for the winter as they have a better bounce for wet claggy courses , i was finding that i was smearing the 52 a bit . The 54 will do all the work and the 50 is basically just a gapping club for full shots . One club or loft is way easier to live with and learning to open or close the face as required becomes second nature . Great advice 👍

I have a 60 degree that's been in my bag for years and use it for close to the green and need to get it up high and stop quickly. Also sometimes in greenside bunkers. Maybe not for everyone but it works for me

Golfing Machine coach Lyn Blake explains these release patterns well. Most of the time I have a 51 degree as my most lofted club. Usually carry 9 clubs max in my carry bag. Just adapt as I did as a junior many years ago with my half set of Fred Daly irons. Much more fun !

I stopped using a 60 degree lob wedge several years ago because the only place I ever used it was from deep green side bunkers. Which we don't have many where I live. Around the green I was either too long or short from grass. Only a hard shot into the sand was reliable. So I pulled back to a wide sole 58 degree as a short bunker and short sided green club exclusively. The most lofted wedge I use routinely is 52 bent to 53 degrees.

Steve, On your high shot with the reverse roll….do you need to cut across the ball (outside to in) to help achieve that flight? (Negating the open face so as to achieve a straight ball flight)

What was the position of the ball relative to the heels and was the shaft vertical since we didn't see any face on views?

For someone who isn't too confident with the short game, any recommendations on wedge bounce number?
@ruatoomey91077 сағат бұрын
Higher bounce is your friend, especially on soft ground, but not really on hard tight lies like links. However you can still play a pinched shot from a tight lie with a high bounce wedge using your hands ahead at impact. Just experiment with it, everyone is different

Why not keep hands neutral and just close or open the face? Less chance of missing?

@@stevejohnstongolf The problem with your video is. This takes practice and most golfers don’t have hours and hours to work on your video. Dan grieves videos don’t take as much practice to achieve good results. I do like your videos. Not a hater.
