At least once a day. I’ve heard people explain this as if you are looking for it is more likely seeing it. I’m not looking for it but I don’t know if this really is a coincidence. Interesting that you studied world religions. I’d love to pick her mind. Lol some of the videos I have looked at about this will usually go down a path of making things a little extreme and sometimes it completely feels like they lose credibility about everything at that point. 33:04 we have a multitude of stories out of America in the 18th and 19th century of Indigenous Burial Mounds containing Giant Bones. These locations were almost exclusively taken over by the Smithsonian (it’s part of their initial path to infamy). We also have the case of Dinosaurs appearing on earth, at least their bones, becoming common findings around the time “Giants” become a resurgent topic of academic study in the 18th and 19th centuries. Just food for thought, but this video is super well done.
@robcoguy69093 күн бұрын
But the Greeks and Romans were digging up Dinosaur bones for thousands of years before modern archeology was created. A Mastodon skull was the birth of the Cyclops in their stories, and Dragon myths probably came from Dinosaur bones dug up in the East. There are all sorts of species of Dinosaur we will never know about, because the ancient world didn't catalogue and research them. They'd just dig them up, put them in their huts and write wild trippy stories about what they thought they were. Also considering writing and documenting isn't as old as we think, Egypt still uses it's aural tradition of sharing history, not documenting it...imagine a game of telephone going on for thousands of years, eventually you're going to lose something in translation.
@strxwbxrry_4203 күн бұрын
Those burial mound bones were never handled by archeologists. Those were farmers, the people destroying the burial mounds for farmlands. They likely didn’t document anything about the remains and it turned into a fishing story (Where you catch a fish but always remember the catch being bigger than it actually was) I only say this because no one treated indigenous remains like human remains, so of course an archeologist wouldn’t waste their time digging up indigenous artifacts and graves America is so awful with this that it took us until 1990 to get The Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) into law, so indigenous remains would be legally recognized as human remains with living ancestors

Fun fact, the r on the end of old norse names isn't part of the name, it's actually a case denoting it's nominative or accusative state in the sentence, in english the r should be dropped as our sentence structure accounts for it. There are also many other cases in old norse. such as Arm-r (one arm) Arm-ar (multiple arms) in the nominative case, which is only one of four cases in old norse.
@Shyguy-yu1cu3 күн бұрын
Huh. Didn't know that. So for a name like bauldr it would just be pronounced as "bauld"?
@Serasitas3 күн бұрын
@@Shyguy-yu1cu I replied but it didn't seem to go through. That is a great question, I'm not a scholar of Old Norse or anything but there are exceptions to that rule, like Baldr and Thor, because those words already end in R. Names like Ull, or Frey, or Rafn, or Ulf should not have the r ending in english because we are already accounting for the case through sentence structure and they're proper nouns.

Robert Wadlow of Illinois, born 1918, died at the height of 8 ft 11.1 in / 2.72 m. he was 6 ft 2 in / 1.87 m by age 9! he was known as the ‘gentle giant’ and was loved by his family and friends, but sadly died at the age of 22 of an infected blister on his ankle that was caused by a poorly-fitted brace; his immune system, as well as other systems of his body, just couldn’t keep up with his large, ever-growing size. Robert was thankful to have a supportive family and community, but still faced many difficulties existing in a world that didn’t quite fit him - he needed tailor-made clothes, shoes, furniture, and his father had to remove the front passenger seat of the family car so he had leg room in the back. he aspired to be a lawyer but struggled to navigate his campus as everything was too small for him, and he was in a lot of pain due to his spine and joints taking a toll from his height. had he not have died so early, he would’ve no doubt grown even taller as the rare condition which caused his gigantism, acromegaly, would’ve made him continue growing.
