I’m using Orca Slicer, and it’s been great! Took some settings from over 3 videos and fine tuned it. Learned to glue the plate every time, after a piece broke free at 90%, and also bought some Gloop for bonding pieces together too.

I found I got the best bonding to the plate after I wash my bed sheet in hot water and dawn dish soap.

Great follow up video! :) Mine hasn’t had the blob of death yet either, and i’ve used it daily for an entire month now. I really enjoyed making the Celtic Cube from thingiverse, so maybe give that a try. I have 8 colors already too now. Addicted

Hey pal nice video. You explained the faults and possible reasons. No BS, no fluff and I bought the same printer roughly 2 months ago and software was updated as well. My only issue is I nicked the ribbon cable. They sent a replacement and I fixed it. Elegoo has be responsive and helpful. I did accidentally delete the Webcam.txt file and didn't know it so I did lose the ability to put the Webcam on it like I had plugged into the usb and went through KZbin videos on how to enable with putty and ssh talk into the printer. I am first time printer guy but am pretty techie and even after redoing all the firmware can't get it to recognize a Webcam. So... Be careful in fluid with the folders and files. I haven't printed anything but PLA but want to print with some stronger items made for an enclosure if you had any suggestions I'd appreciate comments. I've had very good luck with all speeds and updated to elegoo version of cura 5.6 from their site. Keep experimenting and post failures as well because I get tired of seeing the professional time lapped vids that always are perfect. Go Elegoo!

Thank you for the kind words! This isn’t my first run with Klipper so I’m aware of how sensitivity the files can be. I only really print PLA as well so I’m not much help on that end but i know there are a bunch of options for enclosures, whether you build your own or buy one. I’m always experimenting with my printer, check out the linear rail videos, that’s an upgrade I do recommend on any printer.

Sent it back, bed warped and was not levelable after 3 weeks. back 2/3 of bed was fine front 1/3 print head would drag on the bed.

What printer did you decide to try after? Hope you got better results. It sucks with 3D printers that every machine is so different. You’ll get people praise the Bambu labs printers and other say they are hot garbage too.

Went with Bambu Lab A1 combo. Has been great so far.

What support type are you using? I recommend tree/organic supports. Also how is it failing?

Damn that sucks. Sorry you got a lemon. As you can see, this machine is capable of making great prints

I was so enthusiastic to buy this printer model. After a month of use all hell begun... After a blob of death everything went pear shaped. I've got the replacement print head no doubt, but the next one couple of days later... I was so angry, I've just throw it to the bin... No replacement from this company. Since the installation and re-levelling of the latest pre-assembled extruder kit I was not able to print a single usable piece. As the latest repeated fails, I've checked the bed temp and found that: it is all over the place and some parts even 10C degree lower than the set level. I wasted countless hours and countless filament reels with this junk of a printer. Not happy at all! Wouldn't ever buy another elegoo in any shape or form.

Sorry you had a bad experience with it. But mine is still running strong. Don’t get me wrong, it has had a lot less run time compared to when I first got it but it’s still running strong.
