Enjoyed this video! By the way, English does have the subjunctive mood. Of the four difficulties you discussed, I find the past tenses to be the most difficult, but I also find por vs para very difficult to figure out. I'll have to look to see if you have a video on the latter. Ciao!

@@xen0_m0rph Thank you! And you're right, it does! In English however, it's not a conjugated differently, unlike in Spanish, and it's used much less frequently.

Lo mas diicil del español son los géneros, las conjugaciones de cada perspna sumado a todos los tiempos verbales. La existencia de ser y estar (no existe diferencia en francés, ingles, etc), la existencia de haber y tener (no existe en ingles y en francés) y ciertos cambios en la logica de la gramatica dictada por la cacofonía (como cambiar el pronombre indirecto le por el reflexivo se), Tambien ciertos verbos tienen una conjugacion especial tipo verbo gustar: Yo gusto de ti vs me gustas. Buen video, gracias.

Velmi zajímavé a pro skoro začátečníka povzbuzující. Srovnání obtížnosti španělštinyx angličtině a slovanským jazykům poučné. Moc ráda sleduji Vaše videa,která mne baví a zároveň doplňují moji snahu zvládnout aspoň základy španělštiny.❤

Tense agreement in subordinate clauses does confuse English speakers: for us, “He told me he’s coming” and “He told me he was coming” mean two different things. In the first one, there’s still a chance that he will arrive; in the second one, it implies that he’s not coming anymore. But in Spanish, it seems the present tense simply cannot be used if the main clause is in the past.

Yes, exactly, present tense cannot be used! 😉

Articles aren't too hard but sometimes they're add when it isn't for english so I usually don't add it in Spanish (but sometimes it sounds wrong not to add in Spanish so that has become easier). The hardest concept for me is reflective verbs. Especially since I thought the conjugation covers who is doing the action but I guess not
@spanishwithlospinilla
@spanishwithlospinilla 2 ай бұрын
It is understandable, because articles do exist in English and reflexive verbs do not. In Slovak it is the other way around: articles do not exist and reflexive verbs do. Greetings!

@@spanishwithlospinilla One difference is that Italian doesn't distinguish between affirmative and negative sentences when it comes to verbs such as "credere" (creer), "pensare", "ritenere" (opinar, more or less): "Credo che venga domani" and "non credo che venga domani" both require the subjunctive, in Italian, while in Spanish, if I understand the rule correctly, it's only mandatory with "no creo que...". On a more general level, I think that the Spanish subjunctive is more widely used than its Italian counterpart, which has a distinct literary whiff to it and requires intensive reading to master. You read a lot and then you develop an "ear" for it. If you don't have a good relationship with books, you may never acquire a full understandig of how the subjunctive works in Italian. At least for dudes of my generation (I'm a boomer), using no subjunctive is a telltale sign of poor education. Hope my English is understandable.

@@abiagio1 It is interesting to compare it. Yes, in Spanish it is only used with negative sentences with CREER, PENSAR etc. I think that in Spanish it is acquired by paying attention to each use that one finds and yes, reading surely helps. But I think that if a foreigner does not know how to use it and does not use it, there is no need to worry. Don't worry about speaking with mistakes, it's part of learning.

Oh really? Interesting! Compared to Slovak, the only thing more difficult about reflexive verbs seems to me is the existence of different reflexive pronouns.
@aprendemos_espanol

@@spanishwithlospinilla Yeah, the thing that was hard to me is that you need to put the reflective particle at the beginning of the verb and the fact that it differs depending on the person. Also these particles are very similar to the pronouns so at first i was confusing them. And also at first I couldn't understand the verbs like "Gustar" and "Interesar" (me gusta, te interesan) and I was confusing them with the particles of the reflective verbs and with the pronouns. So that was a big problem for me, but now i think i got it más o menos🤣
