I'm glad that you've mentioned that skin cancer and wearing long sleeved gloves! These days fabricators all over the world feel like the toughest people in the world, noone is tougher than fabricators so they feel like skin cancer has no chance on them, that is obviously bullshit. I was one of them, I was like nah fuck the gloves, sometimes I haven't even used the hood for tacking. A couple of years later I've ended up with a melanoma cancer. Got that cut out, it came back, got that cut out again. Now I don't even walk close to the welding machine without long sleeved shirt, long sleeved gloves and a welding hood. Thanks Rob, please continue to raise awareness of wearing proper UV protection when welding !
