@@rachmatzulfiqar it has a max speed of 100kph though i don't suggest running it at that, and has a range 100mi or something. It looks small but it's actually like a Smart and with the batteries they are hot swappable they have charging stations in China that does the standard charging, fast and HS type. So I don't know what they plan on other countries but that's the reason this car and the other GM EVs do in China. This is why small EVs are popular in China, the batteries are lighter and easier to swap in the process. It only takes 3 mins for the machine to change it. EV Motorbikes in Taiwan do the same thing, it's like going to petrol station, remove your battery, put it in an open slot and get one that's fully charge, by hand.

I bought one, and imported it into the United States. I really did, for less than $45. It's Sky Blue in color, like my last new car, a Toyota Camry.... Drumroll....... OK, I must admit, it's a die-cast model reproduction, but I feel it will be a collector's item when I am 90 in 30 years, I can fly to China to sell it on China's version of "Antique's Roadshow". A car like this I wish could come to the US. All crash testing has done is increased the price of cars, forcing many to choose less safe motorcycles or e-scooters. The most important thing about car crashes is not getting into one, and/or accepting the odds that they can happen, but usually if you choose your route carefully instead of picking the most congested way to go from Point A to Point B, they will not happen to you. If I were in one of these, I'd just wear a motorcycle suit with ambient cooling--they should make them for e-vehicles like this anyway, since the one thing I've heard about this car is its A/C just does not work. Two things have caused challenges for cars and their longevity. Electronics mixed with internal combustion engines, and of course, the car's purpose. E-cars like this one are fine for home dwellers, but those who live in US apartment complexes are left out of the market and I'm a former homeowner who found apartment living cheaper than the cost of owning a home once utilities are packaged into the price. I will never go back to owning a home again since my 22 yo daughter has chosen to have a career of her own, rather than straddling her parent's back looking for eternal shelter, more power to her, though we gave her the choice, we also taught her living economics, being experienced suburban dwellers and city dwellers vs. living in the middle of nowhere, like Kansas or Montana. Comin' on up however are e-scooters for single urban riders, some with a 50 mile range, foldable so they can be carried up stairs, and able to keep up at residential speeds of 25mph or 33kph. They are coming out of China as well, and it stands to reason a country that has had the largest population in a space no larger than the US would have good ideas about urban transport without the "road rage" we can't seem to avoid here in the US. We in the US (most of us) want space, living room, whereas I think like the Chinese and Japanese and others who work and live together and prefer human interaction than listening to Coyote's and Wolves howl at night, I think family, and groups of families, rather than tribalism, and bows and arrows, lol... Don't get me wrong however, some of my American roots, a tincy five pct, go back to New England Native tribes and my daughter has hispanic roots, courtesy the one who we've shared life together with, which are said to have come from Asia, during the last Ice Age. I can see that Asian twinkle in her eye every time we eat noodles or skabetti...

A very similar car was introduced in India the Mahindra e2o, starting at around 10,500$. Which was the cheapest EV at that time! But failed miserably thanks to lack of government subsidies & no infrastructure to support them.
@AmateurPetrolHead3 жыл бұрын
@Yong Zhou I meant at that time like more than 5 years ago when the Mahindra e2o was in production. The Indian government wasn't giving any subsidies for electric vehicles.

I visited China for a company training course in 2016 for 2 weeks, the site was located 2 hours drive away from Ningbo so it musta been a tier 4 or 5 city. Every morning, a staff member picked me up on the way to work with her Peugeot 207. When asked, she said this kind of car could rarely be seen in higher tier cities; the targeted markets are mainly "farm cities". Therefore, I think EVs of this range are for mid-low income peers.

An interesting fact is that this cute little car did not sell well in the big cities of China, but was very popular in small and medium-sized cities. It has a maximum range of only 170km, and in fact has a top speed of only 80km/s. Early models did not have airbags. But it was very practical for the commuting.

@@oxygentaster·CN I have fallen asleep in many BYD taxis and buses in Shenzhen. The Hao Mao's are selling faster than Great Wall can make them. China is forcing major car makers to go electric. I even like the old motorized trike my neighbor used. All are trying to carve out a niche for themselves. Wuling is the GM joint venture. Probably the on GM I would consider buying.

I just want to ask. Do you guys have the type of battery pack that I can install it on the top of the roof rack and charge it by solar and still can switch to use it whenever I need for the car or for Electric Equipment that I have? Would I be able to buy an extra battery pack for this wuling? Whatever battery you are going to upgrade, I want 1 extra on the roof with a solar panels. Can you do that for me? A Wuling with Double level Roof Rack. 1 for extra battery storage and 1 for my camping equipments. And cover everything with the solar panel?
