The 4AGE is the Perfect Motor to be Thrashed

Today we take a ride in a Toyota Corolla AE86 driven by Shaw Burns. He's a brit who grew up in Japan in his middle-highschool days and fell in love with drifting. Especially underpowered 10/10ths cars. This Hachi Roku suits him perfectly. Not only does the 4AGE power plant sound fantastic, but through the 100 degree heat, time spent banging off the rev limiter, multiple runs on track, and downshifts into first at speed: it just keeps on going. I had a 4AGE 20V in my fwd AE92 street/track car that was bullet proof. really missed that engine, so much character. would love to have been able to swap one into my Miata to replace the turbo 1.6. would have been slower but I think much more fun

Nice i didn't realize you were out there yesterday i may have talked with you and Dustin but im not sure, on a side note yes these are tough as nails some dudes will clutch kick up to 3 times per corner out here all day and drive home and some people like me with a different setup have to let it all cool back down every 5-7 laps even on a 70 ish degree day. also yes when it hits 103 im not coming out next time i was seriously dieing out on track over heated a camera and overheated my go pro yesterday before 3pm.

Nice vid man. Think you'll pick up another AW11 or was it a SW20 that you had? They're still really affordable, especially compared to an AE86.

Sounds like time for another one haha. Have you seen the 2ZZ-GE swapped AW11s? They look pretty factory.
