Determination can make frisk come back from death. Monsters can take determination, but alphys inject so much determination into their bodies. As undyne have a strong soul, she can take some amount of determination. Think about that undyne the undying can take damage, the amalgamates can't even take damage, they were all monsters! Frisk/Chara have a huge amount of determination but he/she can take damage, the amalgamates' determination is strong enough to make them Invincible(of course expert of snowquake's mother, she can take damage but she can heal herself to full HP immediately next round). Afterall, how strong the determination is amalgamates?How many determinationdid alphys inject on the amalgamates?

Though that's not all I wanted to mention. I am also curious about something that wasn't on the list. I mean... We don't really know anything about Papyrus?? Everyone seems to distracted by Sans and Gaster to even realize it but... Papyrus has the most lines in the game by far out of anyone, except for the narrator. However, we never learn of his past, like Sans he seems to casually just break the laws of physics, he obviously knows more than he lets on, and he constantly lies about what he knows in front of Sans in a way that makes him appear more harmless and naive. It's puzzling. Yet I feel as if I am the only person bothered by this? Everyone is distracted by 'that guy who teleports all over the place and has obvious hints at a bigger backstory'. It's like a smoke in mirrors trick or the magician's assistant I feel. Distracting you from the bigger mystery. Because at the end of the day. Technically we know more about Sans than we do Gaster? I know, this sounds insane and I probably sound like a complete idiot, but trust me. I can indeed explain myself. I just don't want this comment to become too long. I simply wanted to bring up a mystery that no one had yet tackled, in hopes to find at least someone who agrees or can help. I thought, from a phone call you can make in Waterfall, that Undyne was taking a low dose of determination from the special pink ice cream Alphys makes. Yeah, it could just be ice cream, but I doubt it. Why mention the color diluted red? Why would Alphys make it specifically for her? Sans is NOT more powerful than Asriel. He's just smart and cheats around the game, dodging attacks and having that weird poison damage thing. if he was, he wouldn't be immobilized by flowey prior to the fight.

Sans is harder due to no invincibility frames and damage stacking. Adriel's fight is easier since you technically can't die. Flowey X would be harder, but there are invincibility frames and Flowey saves before every attack.

Minelight I just wanted to point out that Sans may not be more powerful than Asriel's god form but he is in fact more powerful than Flowey but was immobilized by him due to being caught off guard and Flowey gaining the human souls. But Sans has defeated Flowey before because in a speech Flowey does he talks about Sans and Papyrus and one thing he says about Sans is that he has caused him more than his share of resets meaning Flowey tried to kill him but ended up failing and giving up entirely.

She could've been young at the time gaster initially became royal scientist and seen that they were hiring assistants further into Gaster's career as RS "Why would they hire Sans but not Papyrus?" If you've played through Snowdin, you'll know that Papyrus is Sans's little brother, so, while Sans was at the age to be an assistant, Papyrus wasn't and by the time he was, they had their group of assistants for that time period and wouldn't be hiring again until Gaster died, and by then, Papyrus was trying to get into the royal guard, so he wasn't interested.

how were the other humans captured if they can't die like you? I never understood that. Why could they capture humans with your soul and determination, if when you die you just go back to when you last saved? You can die while fighting (SPOILERS FOR THE PACIFIST ENDING) Asgore and proceed to what they do, you just reset time until you defeat him. EDIT: I know now that Flowey had the most determination until you came down. Then you could save and override his Determination.

The first appearance of the annoying dog is actually back before the phone call with Toriel. If you're unlucky (or lucky if you're looking for it), your save file can corrupt, meaning you can get the dance/sigh of dog. This can happen as early as the first save point.

If I recall correctly, the game doesen't let you pick up the legendary artifact even if you do have inventory space. It just tells you "You are carrying too much dog". So yeah, you can only have a single dog in your inventory. Tho what if you enter the room with an already full inventory? *runs away*

i guess ut us just randomly generated, but i didn't do the no mercy nor the true no mercy and never saw a follower. my friend, who was on a no mercy run, said to me that they saw some of the followers without edditing the fun value. guess you could make an poll about the circumstences of a gaster followers player had and then analyse those datas to understand more what could and could not affect those encounters.

I know half everything about #2, the machine behind the cover, that's something that helps sans go back in time, remember the other human souls? yeah,sans was trying to save them, asgore was trying to help all monsters out of the underground, gaster was the royal sientict and made the cofens to hold the souls, then gaster told asgore he couldn't do it alone, asgore told him to get an assistant, so gaster created sans, sans was told that all humans do is kill, so sans took the burden off asgore and sans started to kill the humans that fell, after 3 humans he had killed, sans had seen a little kid in waterfall that was doing ballet for shy, shy was singing for the kid, and sans refused to kill the kid, so each death of a human, sans went back and tried to save them, 1 human, really did want only to kill tho, so he helped kill that 1, I gess u know who that 1 human was tho,chara, but after that sans went to live on his own, that's when he became lazy. gaster had grown afread of sans being alone, so gaster made papyrus! gaster sent papyrus to sans, and that's when papyrus knew that where brothers and sans liked having someone being around him. so that became so close that thay consider each other brothers, thay also r brothers.

When he says our reports showed a massive anomaly in the timeline, papyrus got stumped trying to solve the HOROSCOPE. They might have done an experiment together in timelines and stuff. It’s just a theory, might be wrong, might be right!

I've seen a theory that labels Toby as "The Keeper". I skimmed over it, so I'm just gonna fill the details about individual encounters here. Basically, he steals things to keep the balance of reality in check. He steals Toriel's phone because he knows that the player can't just wait for Toriel to come back. The protagonist needs to start their hero's journey, and that can't happen if Toriel comes back and explains all of the puzzles. They need to learn to act for themselves. And if they don't, he can keep the phone until they do. Periodically calling them to remind them that he has the phone, and Toriel isn't coming back until they do something. He steals Papyrus' special attack (implied to be the Gaster Blasters) because you're not ready to see it. He'll only feel like you're ready to see the hellish blasters during the Sans fight, which just so happens to be the genocide route. He doesn't care if you see them at this point, because they help in Sans' efforts to get you to quit. Would he have let Papyrus use the special attack if he didn't spare the player instantly in that run? We may never know. He steals the legendary artifact because clearly, it's much too powerful to be left in the hands of someone he can't predict like he can with other characters. Instead, he trades some Dog Residue for it. It works because he can't just steal something without rewarding the player for their efforts at least a LITTLE bit, and because he knows the insanely expensive colleg lies ahead. So it's a win-win. You'll be mad at him for the moment, but you'll be thanking him when you decide that Temmie needs some education! When he's not manually taking care of things that might be problems, he can be seen using his dog powers to patch the holes in the fabric of reality. Either that, or stopping the player in their tracks because the rest of hard mode doesn't exist yet. Also, the pie is... Err.. Too powerful. Yep, better take that just in case!

@underlab I little tidbit before you make the gaster video People that like to dig around in the game files have turned their attention to a character that was pretty much ignored, a character that is often forgotten even tho he is one of the more prominent characters, a character that with everything else that is going on was forgotten. I am talking about papyrus. A character that is so out of place and has so many facts colliding with each other it is honestly scary at what it can be implying. Just to name a few.(lol, totally not a few) doesnt seem to know how to sleep. He always knows where you are located when you call him. and seems to be able to see what the player sees. Papyrus flies/breaks the laws of physics casually and seemingly on a regular basis Papyrus has such control over his magic in his fight, that he can make his attacks do zero damage because he refuses to kill the human. Papyrus doesn’t seem to realize that Frisk is a kid, despite Frisk wearing a striped shirt, which is a common indicator for childhood in monster society. (is he unfamiliar with common monster culture, for some reason?) He doesnt seem to care that he about to die (like he knows he will come back) He can edit his own stats (He raises his defenses while you are in a geno-run, while offering to spare you no less) he LIES. (see phone calls, particularly when sans is present vs when he is not, or when he agrees that he will take a vacation with undine, but then later states that "I WILL NEVER TAKE A VACATION FOR ANY REASON") He always talks in caps, And his txt moves and jitters almost at a constant bases.(also has weird grammer "MANDATE IT SAFER") Has self loathing issues (see mailbox call) Doesn’t seem to have friends, despite working very hard to get them THIS -> “HOTLAND! I KNOW IT LIKE THE BACK OF MY HAND. WHICH, SINCE I’M ALWAYS WEARING GLOVES… I DON’T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT!” (But he didnt always wear the costume....) The 2 main 4th wall breaking characters (the annoying dog and flowey) take GREAT interest in papyrus. Papyrus's room is ALWAYS silent, even when backtracking at the end of a true pacifist run the music will stop when entering his room.. FORGETTABLE (No npc outside the main cast ever seems to remember him, see undertale QnA) Also, the final fact i will say, and honestly the one that might have the most heavy meaning. During the true pacifist scene when flowey shows up and ties everyone with vines, he ties everyone up with 2 vines (INCLUDING SANS) but he binds papyrus up with FOUR vines, and dont think this is for size reasons, asgore is bigger then all of them, but he has 2. and sans, who flowey himself admits that he could NEVER get passed sans when he fought him, only tied him up with 2 vines. this, coupled with the fact flowey was the only person to know what papyrus's favorite food was in the QnA (not even papyrus knew what it was)......... WHAT OR WHO THE FLYING HECK IS PAPYRUS

about the drawing of strange people, during the pacifist ending, when you can go and explore the rest of the ruins before heading to the surface, if you head to the lab behind Sans and papyrus's house and look at the drawing, the game tells you that it's a drawing of you, sans, toriel, asgore, papyrus, alphys, and mettaton.

Just pointing this out, one of Gaster's assistants may be Sans,the picture you don't recognize is probably a photo of Gaster, the paper is probably the blueprints for the machine, and the machine, is probably something that may had to do with the disappearance of Gaster, or Sans could be using it to get Gaster back, maybe speaking to or seeing the fun value things, allowing him to know that Gaster lives on.

I have a theory against the sprite you used for Gaster: He was “shattered across time and space” and the sprite that was used is from the man behind the door in waterfall or snow din, it has a very low chance of occurring. But how would the man who was shattered through time and space be behind a door.You may not know this but there is an unused file that takes you to a black room with a man saying redacted in wing dings, gaster speaks wing dings and this room is unused so I believe the person who says redacted in the unused room is gaster, you cannot find him through normal means as it is an unused file, thus supporting my point.
