💰How long should your a $100k pitch be?
🧠 While it's tempting to include every detail about your offering in your pitch, studies show that after 20 minutes, the brain starts to forget what it's been taught
🤔 That’s why it’s better to plan your pitch for 5 minutes!
But how can you make an impactful pitch in just 5 minutes?
Here are some tips:
✔️ Start with a strong hook: Your opening line should grab the listener's attention and make them want to learn more.
✔️ Focus on the most important details: Identify the key points you want to convey and focus on those. Keep in mind that less is often more.
✔️ Use storytelling: We remember stories much more easily than facts and figures. Use stories to illustrate the benefits of your offering.
✔️ Include a clear call to action: End your pitch with a clear and concise call to action. What is the next step you want the listener to take?
Remember, the goal of a pitch is not to cover everything, but to generate interest and leave a lasting impression 👍
By keeping your pitch to 5 minutes, you can ensure that you're delivering the most impactful message possible🤝
How long is your pitch? Let us know in the comments and share your tips! 💬

They had to pitch it fast so Dr. Rosalind could be left in the dark about how they stole her slides and used her research without her permission

The best way to sell is ask questions what client needs, most sales people are selfish when they see customers all they think about is how do I sell to customer people can smell those vibes,.

Love how double helix DNA is an “advancement” in technology. Guess we had a different DNA structure before that. This is a perfect example of people talking BS without really saying anything

I think he meant that the discovery led to monumental innovations in science/health, where as before it was a unfound instrument to understanding human biology

It needs a longer pitch for products that have specific changes or innovations compared to competitors. For example: procore, bluebeam, RAM systems, etc. Of course I’m only knowledgeable about the engineering side of things, but it highly depends on the product you’re selling

I hear you but still think you can still pitch anything complex within 20 mins. For example, with some of those examples you mentioned I'm sure they solve any number of problems right? What would be the core 1,2 or 3? From there what does the 'after' state of solving those problems look like? In short, the time for more technical discussion should still come, but that can come later in subsequent discussions. The point here is the initial pitch should be 20 mins max because that's the point where people fade. After that, sure, have question led dialogue -Moby

@@redpandasdigital fair reply, you’re right about 20 minutes being a good time frame for complicated stuff

Firstly, were W and C asking for money? It's VERY different when you are just showing research findings than when you are asking for funding. Secondly, Rosalind Franklin's data was probably so good that W and C only needed five minutes to convince other fellow scientists.

Honestly, the more expensive, the product the easier the pitch , most high-end buyers are self-aware

It's a bit of an odd comparison though? Presenting a scientific discovery through research you can validate doesn't really have a lot in common with selling a vacuum cleaner
