I got a 99 firebird automatic 82k original miles, all fluids exchanged, new tires, good paint, good interior, new spark plugs and wires for $7500. He said he would buy it back for $8000 but I could easily resell for $9000 and probably 10k if I waited

😂See if he'll give you $9k or $10k if you know that's what it's really worth. If he wants it bad enough, you'll get whatever price you ask

Bro all the way on the Trans Am Firebird has the front end of a dragon! Def my pick. And.... that Camaro...... *shudders*. Just why??? Finally, I like the all American muscle vibe of the channel because the community, though small at this point, is all on the same team. So many comment sections are filled with petty arguments, but I like the community here as we all like the same stuff. However, it could be a good idea to expand just a little to see how it goes. I’ll admit my reason for your channel to stay the same is wholly selfish. If you think it’ll benefit you more to branch out, that’s totally fine. Keep putting out that quality brother! 🤟🇺🇸🦅

The best looking car for 10k is a 200 USD gokart with a junkyard LS swap and custom body work that you work on tirelessly yourself via fiberglass, sweat, and some gumption also a crashed title dodge 392 is pretty great

06' to 10' chrysler 300c. I'm a little biased as I have two of them, but they can be had for a good price and easily modded. My 06' heritage I got for under 10k, but all together I have over 20k in it. Heads, cam, long tubes, catch can, coil overs, staggered 22s, etc... My favorite part about the car is that I've never seen another like it in my city, get compliments every day I drive it and everytime I smoke a mustang or camaro they are completely surprised.

The funny thing about buying a car with over 100k miles is exactly why I'm uneasy about your list overall. All those pre-2000's era cars are indeed nice, but the older a car is, the more miles it will likely have. And insurance is higher on older cars too. But yes, you are 1 million percent correct on the mustang costs. Good ones are usually a tad above the 10k mark, while the "cheap" ones are either super high miles, salvage title, or just driving super hard and worn out. Its a real fine line sadly. My dad was a mechanic in his younger days so he knew about some of the lesser common things to watch out for when browsing used cars. He also could teach me how to keep up with repairs so higher mileage cars were not scary. Though we did look for ones under 100k miles. Just because you know how to repair them, doesn't mean you want to just sign up for one that needs it 10 days after you buy it. I suppose I was fairly lucky- I got a 2002 Mustang for a little over 3k while back. And it only had 87k miles on it. Clean title too. I was really fortunate that the previous owner was gentle with it and so I never needed to replace anything. I later traded up to a 2012 stang. (My current car) Had about the same mileage at time of purchase. And while this one cost more than 10k, it wasn't by that much. Only spend 12.8k. So, you know. Just highlighting a lucky value find.

Had a new '98 Firebird Formula back in '98. Good looks (silver with black inter.) But made the mistake of getting a manual trans. Noisy electric activated head light housings. Got rid of it after only a few weeks and traded for a new Grand Prix coupe.

It’s funny, my Dad has a 2002 Mustang GT, and I got an 1988 Covrette with the flat bumper (I also like it over the round bumper) but I still got the redesigned suspension that they did in 1988+ His is in much much better shape than my Vette but I’m working on it.

I'm not big on domestics but all these cars are surprisingly good. The trans am and firebird are a special kind of car for sure. Also getting a C3 vette is next to impossible for under 10k in this day and age

Tbh I'm not sure how prices were affected by Covid but I know my Dad got his '77 C3 for only 4200 like 3-4 years ago. It had very minor issues, even now at most he's all into it at like $6k and he's someone who buys new engine covers and stuff just to have em be shiny😂

Had an Sn95 mustang for a while (they’re the same as a Fox, just with different fenders and such) as a daily, they’re not bad I guess. If you’re going to spend the money I’d go with the 4th gen camaro/firebird (whichever gen had the ls1 and 6spd manual) over another Sn95 or Fox, they have a better ride quality *and* will drive away from a 5.0l powered Fox and the 4.6l Sn mustangs. From a maintenance standpoint, the Gm F-body cars are generally easier to wrench on as well. My big complaint was the bushing quality on the rear control arms on the mustang (any sort of wear will be very noticeable while driving) vs the typical coil sprung F-body rear suspension. In almost every metric the gm is the better car, but everyone has different tastes (and different toolboxes lol). It’s common to see a 351w swap in fox cars, and the 5.4 terminators in the newer Sn95 bodied cars. That being said, a roller 351 from a truck (mid 90’s) come pretty cheap and you’re only a few hours with a mig welder away from having a turbo 351 fox for not a lot of money. Modding an ls is super cheap, but finding a firebird cheaper than a mustang would be an effort.

Hard for me to get into American muscle classic cars that have six bangers in them. I know it's a personality failing, but I can't help myself. I'd just feel like a poser. Had a guy I worked with, that had an old Chevy Nova. He had stripes on it, traction bars, glass packs, tires and rims....it looked like a Street Rod. A weak six cylinder (practically squirrel driven) motor to power it. All show-no go. I think it scarred me. That said, I love the 90-92 Foxbody Mustangs, the WS-6 Trans Ams (Awesome hood/scoops on the WS-6), and any year Corvette.

@@LibertyDrives anthropomorphic (ascribing human characteristics to non human things) is the word to describe this. Outlets look like surprised cheeky faces, the car headlights, grille, hood, front bumper look like faces since we want to make sense of things and faces are familiar so we think of them like that.

Jsyn be careful buying a old Corvette they are all fiber glass so in a crash they fall apart and are extremely dangerous that also means that they rust on the frame so check the frame before you buy it so it doesn't fall apart.
