I'm on the downhill to 60, riding for decades so when the orthopedist told me I needed a hip replacement I put the near half ton HDs to rest. I picked up the 430lb CFMOTO 700 CL-X and have put 17,000 miles in less than 10 months of riding time. Less than $7k for a 74hp, adjustable suspension, 6 speed, slipper clutch, dual ABS, full LEDs, cruise control AND self cancelling turn signals isn't being budget conscious, it's called having fun. If I don't get killed on it, my body will wear out before the Kawasaki engine does so I'm not worried about resale value. Keep up the great work

My last triple digit HP bike was Buell XB12 SCG. I rode some dirt bikes as in my teens but, never owned one and last year I bought an XR150 just because it was cheap and looked fun. When I was a new rider, 54 years ago in England, we were all 16 and clueless, riding a selection of worn out, mostly British, small capacity (less than 250cc) bikes. No rider training in those days, you just made your mistakes as a learner, survived if you were lucky, then took your test and were allowed to ride anything. The system here has changed since then. New riders have to start on a 125cc and work their way through a series of tests, over several years, before getting an unlimited licence. No doubt safer, but it puts a lot of people off. At nearly 70, I'm still riding, but none of the other lads I knew back then are.

It's a weird fresh start... but I'm happy I passed my bike driving exams in one go. Keep up the good vids, this older newbie learned quite a bit from your vids. Not a fan of IPA's etc, loved the driving lessons but the depressed part hits home. Money most definitely is an issue though :p Housing is expensive a.f. here. Sidenote: I read a lot of ''there's less motorcylists'' in the US and such, but where I live sales are up massively and there's a damn waiting list for motorcycle lessons at the moment - huge amount of girls picking up riding as well. China bikes are a perfect way to see if you like owning motorcycles. Got mine for 1800, used the heck out of it, learned all about carbs, doing your own maintenance and repairs. Got a DRZ after selling it for 1600. There's just not a lot of aftermarket or middle man money to be made so no love by KZbinrs.

Ive never felt so recognized. Im definitely most like a midlife crisis beginner, but not quite. I'm depressed, just getting into riding, but trying to stay under a certain budget until I figure out if I really enjoy it. Which is why I've got my eye on your favorite bike, the Kawasaki Vulcan. Not the S, but the 900.

You’ll enjoy it. I mean it. Just get one. You won’t regret it.🤔😉✌️

Yamie Noob very funny video 😂👍. Im a part of the somewhat known finnish moped culture of teens who ride mopeds and Im glad that I dont have an electric bike. They are boring and they are not even that exiting. The good 50cc is just good for me and the best feeling in the world is switching gears. Remeber guys! Consider your options when bying a bike to not regret the decision later! 👍😎

Being a woman who has been riding motorcycles since I was 13, dirt bikes....then street bikes....and ATVs and ATCs and everything in between....it's always interesting how men react and the conversations I get into....being a female rider for the past 37 years ( I'm 50 now) has been a very wild ride.

I've been looking into bikes and doing my own research at my own pace for a decade, getting really into some brands and company lore, but never getting into the hobby. I was scared of myself on a motorcycle, not the machine itself. It felt as if our Lord and savior Rossi himself realized the very moment I crossed the threshold of maturity and mental stability that was holding me back and gently guided my hand to your channel earlier this year. And thanks to you, I received the guidance I needed and got my gear, about to go get the endorsement soon, and am saving up to buy a decent used starter bike. Thanks, Papa Yams

At 40 I started having kids. Before 40, it was no rope cliff climbs, rock fishing and just a danger/adrenaline fiend. After having kids, it happened........ Ii needed to consider my mortality. So I got into motorbikes. Ninnie 300, Zx10r, Gixer 750 and for the past 5 years, my Gen 2 Busa. And still loving it❤😁

I got the GSX8R because there is no reasonbly priced well balanced sub 80/90hp full fairing bike. If I wanted a naked it was going to be a Z900 or a CFMoto NK800. My 8R is comfy for every day use. Its sporty enough for aome fun. Lots of features, very solid on road feel. If anyone is wondering I get around 51mpg on the 8R for daily use. 3.7gal tank tops me out around 180miles of range.
