To make that cap you have to sell on average 5 houses a year which for a new agent would be very difficult. There are also other franchises that don't charge this fee. You also have to pay part of your commission to join a team or have a personal coach. Oh and that book that you found so helpful that was authored by Mr. Keller himself is so outdated having been published in year 2004, Lol.

It’s not the right company for everyone. You do pay but lots of agents see the value in that. And in any team model you are paying a commission to join a team. The book is old but I believe many of the principles remain the same in building a structured organization and the foundations of real estate lead generation haven’t changed much. Plus you can plug the new methods (digital ads, social media, etc) in the same model and it works.

How much is the cap?

Each office different most about 12-18k in the US. The franchise cap is additional 3k no matter where you are. I’m in NYC higher priced cost of living, rent, sale prices, etc. mine is $26k

@@striveforgreatness411 honestly… that’s insane. REAL’s cap is 12k. And it looks like you do a lot of work from home from your studio… not even trying to recruit man, but it’s one (of the 200) reasons I left KW :/

I JUST PASSED MY TEST AND DOING MY DUE DILIGENCE TO FIND A BROKER. RIGHT NOW, ITS BETWEEN EXP AND KW. I LIKE KW ALTHOUGH EXP HAS A LOT TO OFFER. I AM STRUGGLING WITH MY DECICISION TBH

There’s actually a better choice than both KW and EXP. KW you pay insane insane fees, and having been at KW, I can tell you that most of what they provide… is not worth $24,000/year. All that cost for office fees and to run the brokerage, but literally no one goes in anyway. EXP is a better choice, but also has some downfalls. The success of the EXP model is almost 100% based on which silo you end up in (the down line) REAL has the culture that KW has always touted and, in my personal opinion, way better training because it’s also cloud based. This means you get training from top producers all over the country, all week. Oh… and the cap is only $6k for a team member. And you get stock options. And rev share is INFINITELY better than profit share. No comparison.
