What a knowledgeable guest. :-) He understands that balancing hormones equal fat loss. Eating meat balances the hormones.🥩🥩 My cycle gently left me at 59 years old with not a single issue and I continue to age backwards because I’m a carnivore and my parents raised us that way. You’re so great Dr. Chaffee . you’re so great at listening to people and thats the sign of a true carnivore being kind as well. Thats a sign of a true carnivore.🥩💪🏻

Very interesting that you were raised that way. Care to share more about that? How did your parents know this? Any tips on how to get a stubborn almost 4 year old to eat carnivorous?
@ruthbiafora544311 ай бұрын
I am the youngest of six kids and my parents raised us on a carnivorous diet, along with some fermented foods, as my mom was raised with those because she is Polish. (Dad is Italian) We would fight over the fat on top of the roasts that she would make, and all the fat would be gone before she ever got it on the table. :-) both of my parents live to 94 years of age each with all of their teeth, all of their hair, and no replacement of hips or knees, or anything like that. I think if your four-year-old sees you eating lamb chops, ribs steaks, and could hold the bone and gnaw on it, they would grow to like it.😊

@@sidneybuckaloo That is so great that you both are carnivores. I think there’s so many great carnivores out there like Laura Spath and her husband Chris who are carnivores together but they feed their kids fruit so balance I believe is key. :-) :-) :-) You know, this way of eating is coming back around again. People prepared food at home and grandmothers made homemade soups, and nobody had the health issues that they do now.

Measurement Monday is such a key component of health and fitness. I was one of those “cheat meal/cheat day” guys for decades. It ALWAYS was a key component to weight loss plateau that I have experienced my entire adult life. Clean keto got me pretty far in a short period of time (66 lbs lost in 6weeks) but the plants and my willingness to “cheat” in social situations thwarted my efforts to finally achieve my health goals. Cheat meals are the gateway drug to junk food relapse.

Yesterday I sliced my thumb so bad I almost went for stitches. It took 30 minutes of very hard direct pressure elevated over my head to get it to stop bleeding. At around the 24 hour mark I could still open it up a little bit, but it’s been about 30 hours and I can’t open it up at all. I haven’t healed this fast since childhood (I’m 49). Also, numerous talks (complete with evidence) by searching out, again on You Tube, Carnivore Down Under. There's also a similar group in USA currently doing a study (on the actual medical professionals in that group) on the REDUCTION of calcium in coronary arteries of those on Carnivore Diet. Also, check out Dr. Peter Noakes, an Australian MD. THAT'S LOADED WITH EVIDENCE STRONG ENOUGH FOR A COURTROOM! Everyone in the Carnivore world felt exactly like you. But the REAL truth is there's zero science to back up any OTHER so-called healthy diet. If you actually watch the two Fat Documentary videos, your first thought, like mine & others, will probably be something along the lines of..."Those lying sob's! I like your guest very much and it is a very interesting interview. The priming factor in very early childhood through food is the greatest obstacle, so it is very difficult to distinguish if it is your intuitive gut feeling or priming what decides what your are eating. Your guest is right about that people need a catalyst moment to change their habits. It is not only a cognitive thing. Carbs stand for feelings and memories. Strip them off and but what remains of a person? Culture is rooted in food production (“cultivation”) and preparation. Thanks for those gastro-philosophical insights. Controlling food intake and quality is controlling reality. Thank you, Dr. Chaffee ❤

Ohhh my goodness, some addictive self soothing looping behaviors under the surface of my perception. Initially I started on keto and it was dirty, I continued and learned and persisted. I fell off the path many times but just kept adjusting my mind and tried not to judge/punish my self. Over 3-4 years I've noticed improvement in my energy levels , the disappearance of inflammatory pain and the thing that kept me going (still going and still edging towards fine tuning towards Carnivore) most from week 2 of this long journey was the rightness of how good i felt in my mood !!! Depression and woe-is-me GONE !! 😃

The delayed or immediate health consequences reminds me of people cooking with Teflon. Teflon emits fumes at regular cooking temperatures that give you flu-like symptoms, but not til a couple hours after you cook, so people think they're coming down with a flu, and don't make the connection to cooking with Teflon, and repeatedly cook with it. Birds have extremely sensitive lungs, and people cook with Teflon near their pets, and the birds' lungs fill with mucous and they die. These people learn real quickly that cooking with Teflon's bad. If you use plenty if ventilation, it's not a problem. Lots of people loose their birds every year from cooking with Teflon.

With proper recovery it should actually reduce aging, because it helps keep those systems in tip top shape. So as they break down as you age they go from elite to mediocre instead of from mediocre to bad. Just don't overtrain and you'll be better than fine.

@@TheSpecialJ11 Hmmm, not convinced by that argument. They are kept at a higher level at some not insignificant cost.

Depends. If it’s sharing between different muscles it’s ok. I wouldn’t do full body four times a week. You do better with more recovery. Twice a week hitting all the main muscles and prioritise recovery.

@@stargazerbird It's a split, each muscle group once a week. I'm considering, lowering the amount of leg work. I'm going to prioritize looking athletic, without having a lot of mass. So shoulders is one priority for me, fairly small muscle, but huge impact on how you look. I don't need massive legs that are calorically expensive and very stressfull for the body to workout.

Look into antiglycolytic training promoted by StrongFirst. One theory is that avoiding lactic acid reduces muscle damage, and builds up mitochondria instead

What makes it difficult for people to follow through on a plan? Do either of these two professionals understand complex trauma? Psychology is a complicated subject and most psychologists don't understand complex trauma.

Healing need to be done mind body soul. Mind by psychology, body by nutrition /trainning, soul by spirituality or whatever ur belief path. For me carnivore is one from 3 side of triange side of complete set to heal. Done the soul done the mind but i still feel stuck. When i eat carnivore It hit body/ nutrition..as we know ppl feel lift up from depression because our brain get nutrition and stop sugar that inflame our brain receptors. 😀 the break through amazing if u combine mind body soul.

Was diagnosed with cholesteatoma. Does high cholesterol cause this?
I can really relate to the chocolate part. I could tell stories of my old chocolate habits that would make you feel sick. I can't believe how much chocolate I used to eat. Now I just crave fatty meat......and I can't seem to gain weight no matter how much I eat.
