That rotating infotainment system was copied from China's Human Horizon's HiPhi Z's infotainment system with robotic arm, it's even better because it can tilt left and right. 💯👍

I love Skoda, drive Skoda and love this one. Unfortunately average consumer will never be able to buy it. Think strategy is bit off here. Loaded snobs will go for snobby brands rather than expensive Skoda

@Reggie Warrington Uhm Tesla.. better Resale Value? 2 Years ago I bought a new Reimported Kodiaq für 28 Grand now with 15.000km its worth 34 Grand.. even the first ones from 2017 with 100.000km are still worth above 20 Grand. Never had such a good Resale Value. The VW I had before had lost 2/3 of its Price in the same time (5 years)..

Finally an intelligent operation again? It took a long time (too long) until ergonomics was finally considered again. Touchscreen is cool, but only where it makes sense! I hope this is not an oversight and will finally be implemented again. I think the operating concept with the rotary controls and the adaptive screen is great. Please build like this - in all vehicle classes.

I'm excited about the current and future designs coming out. I've been growing tired of the sameness on our streets for at least a decade. i.e. all sedans look almost the same, all mid size SUVs, all etc. To the point it has made me consider doing a restomod on a classic car! For the money new cars cost now I wouldn't spend any more.

Not that I believe it was mentioned in the review, I noticed that, when the interior went in to 'relaxed' mode and the infotainment screen raised up, the brake & accelerator pedals sunk backwards, flush in to the footwell - I guess that 'relaxed' mode actually means autonomous...?

I am hoping for this to have 7 individual seats with 6 isofix sets including front passanger, childseat friendly tilt for 2nd row like in ford smax and vw touran for example, plenty of airbags. According to range, when solid state battery will be in mass production -most of us will be happy. This concept is so well design outside. Please Skoda make it big family friendly because we still have in Europe famielies with 3 / 4 kids. If You make 7 seater, make 7 seats, forget about armrest in the middle of bench because this makes this space uncomfortable. Plesa OEMs look at Ford Galaxy, as a benchmark for big family in Europe.

The rearmost seats appear quite low. I’m currently on my second kodiaq, from previous SEL to current L&K. Goes without saying that I love it but the kodiaq seat configuration would need to be carried over into this ev version for me to part with the kodiaq.

Who needs this 5.16m beast?! Kodiaq was already very spacious (and 40cm shorter) Why such a long hood, EV were supposed to allow better packaging: this is quite the opposite. Side profile looks inspired by Renault Avantime 🤣

Nice car. However in the electric power constrained Europe of 2022 I expect new cars to support bidirectional charging i.e. V2H and possibly but less importantly for the individual perhaps V2G. I did not notice this being mentioned in the video. With more and more people buying EVs, using your car battery to power the house at peak rates should be attractive for most car buyers, at least the lucky ones living in their own little house/ bungalow/ villa (so that the infrastructure is easily established.)

Bigger battery yet slower charging than what Kia has on the road NOW. That's not a "vision" I'd call very futuristic. I like some parts of it, but would rather have a 5-seat with a flat folding rear seat to have a proper WAGON. EV makers refuse to take out money we happily pay extra for wagons and have done for many decades. Skoda knows that we buy a wagon before a sedan. Ever see an Octavia or Superb sedan on the road? I don't. Loads of wagons though, daily pretty much. But in the EV space, it's impractical sedan or SUV with a short loading length. Whyyyyy???

Behind Tesla the Koreans are the best of the rest the EV6 is a killer car. Although Peak Charging speed and even charging curve is not always the most important feature, miles per min is probs the better metric. Tesla charges peak quicker than ev6 but the curve on the ev6 is better but tesla has higher efficiency so gains more per min of charging still. When i first starting looking at EVs on the company car lease it took me ages to get my head around

In Eastern Europe it the opposite, few wagons many sedans. I think wagons are quite important though and there should be more electric ones. VW is gonna have one soon (1-2 years) I heard.

It looks great from the outside, but what about loadspace? People buy large cars for plenty of passenger space, but also for plenty of loadspace. Do all the seats fold flat, to give me an uninterrupted loadspace all the way to the driver/front passenger seats, like my Kodiaq? If not, then it definitely won't work for me...

Interesting and brave design. I am still apprehensive about jumping into electric cars BUT would love to buy the first car to hit 1k km range with a single charge. I always have a question. Why is there no car that charges the battery while in motion? It looks like a massive waste to let go that energy without the capability to recharge. Any hope of that ever happening soon?

@@Matelong Since energy is needed constantly to keep the speed up due to friction losses in all the moving parts plus air resistance, you can never get all the energy back, even if the regeneration was 100% efficient, which it isn't. What you are suggesting is a perpetual mobility machine, which is not possible.
