About a second or so. Surprisingly, I'm still quickest on the BMW, but they're very equally matched the way I ride them. I could easily push harder on the KTM, but I'm still learning it's limits while I'm very familiar with the BMW's.

Both great bikes. I'd like to get me something smaller to do parking lot drills. A 390 would be perfect. I have a set of orange engine guards (Hepco & Becker) for the 790 that I bought hoping it would fit the 890, but the suspension components are a little bigger. Let me know if you're interested, I'll give you a good deal.

Great Riding! I still need to make it out to Harris Hill. I have a Street Triple 765 and also have issues with autoblip getting "stuck". Wonder what is? Trying to grab gears too fast?

Harris Hill is awesome man. Unfortunately it's members only and they only open it up to track days once or twice a year. I think that if you know someone who is a member, they can get you in one day or something like that. I think my issue with the autoblip is that the KTM is more RPM dependent, it likes being on those high RPM when downshifting. My BMW in comparison downshifts pretty much at any RPM, probably one of the best autoblips in the market, and it's 6 years old!

Comes off even easier. 2 bolts in the sides and one in the top. After that just unplug the eletrical connector.

Nah, I've ridden other bikes, even a "track bike" that I bought and sold right away, this one is special in comparison. I have to upgrade my riding, because the limits on this one are much higher.

Brett this was an experienced intermediate/advanced group. The other group was beginner/fresh intermedia. A few slower riders in my session, but also meant a lot more riding time for each of the groups.

Depends on the track. I'm faster on my super duke at COTA but at Cresson on the 1.7 and 1.3 the duke is quicker

Largely depends on the track and rider. The 890 can definitely keep up with bigger bikes except for the longer straights.

Hans it still had the stock front Michelin Power Cup 2 which is amazing, but the rear was worn out, so I used a 190/55 Dunlop Q3+ I had on hand.
