Agreed. Funny how the last BP theme was Ultrawatch but THREE of the Power Ranger skins were in the cash shop while the rest were lifeguards and other random skins. So disappointing. I skipped them cuz not worth the price for what they were. The BP themes are just pretty poorly curated and just marketing fluff.

Yea, the layoffs included a large part of the art team. So who knows how many were affected. The skin devs mentioned in their twitter accounts that each skin takes about 6 months from start to finish. And even after that, they hold onto them and wait to release them at a certain time. I’m so frustrated that certain heroes I play haven’t gotten a new Legendary in ages (like Zarya) while the popular heroes get multiple every season. It’s getting old.

Last patch they gave tanks massive damage increases and survivability, and people turned to mobile heroes to try to stay out the tank's way, and so Overwatch devs thought "nerf the hp of mobile heroes. Let's widen that health gap even further." It's not fun feeling like any strat you come up with to deal with giga buffed tanks, WILL be nerfed. It's just not allowed.

But yeah DvA is especially bad since she SO mobile, can burst you down OR just deny most of what most heroes can do. DM is a HUGE problem and I can't understand why Blizzard doesn't seem to see it. An ability that absolutely eats nearly EVERYTHING on a resource meter so it's almost always available sucks to play against.

I feel like OverWatch is in this vicious cycle of not getting enough developer support/funding, which means that the content they are able to provide is disappointing to a lot of players, meaning they get even less support and funding, meaning they can provide less exciting content, which means they get less funding and support, etc etc. I really feel like there is no winning for the OverWatch team unless they're actually given another serious shot by blizzard / Microsoft, or the OverWatch IP is expanded beyond the game

On the topic of recolors, they should add them as unlockable cosmetics, for them it’s not *that* difficult to make them, and for us it would really make the game feel more rewarding if each season there were a couple of unlockable skins that we got for playing, completing challenges, etc

sadly loot boxes from almost every game became illegal or laws around how it was kinda gambling got put in place :( so they can't really come back because many countries were upset by kids "gambling" that's why every game that had loot boxes turned to battle pass where you know what you're spending money to get. I love Juno, but think she needs more healing output. I love Clash and Hanaoka, but Anubis is really cramped and uncomfortable imo. I don't think it's that hard to understand as a mode, it's like Push but with control points instead of the robot. The battlepass/skins situation is pretty scant... I'm not in love with the current battlepass but I'll buy it if I can get a high enough level. No idea why Venture and Juno have no unique skins. I feel like I have nothing to work towards in OW2. Oh, and the Lifeweaver changes are definitely good. The platform lowering to the ground so you can use it again is a GREAT quality of life change.

Ngl I don’t hate Clash, but the frequency I’m getting it. It’s a fun mode when I’m getting it sprinkled in here and there, but not every other match. Like, I wanna try Juno and her team synergy on other maps, but I can’t really do that if I’m stuck in Clash forever

This season has been really disappointing in terms of gaming and overall gameplay. I used to get a stable connection with a 70 ping, but now the game automatically shifts servers to some weird ones, resulting in high latency and lag for the rest of the match. Even the matchmaking has become terrible since the update. I’m not sure if it’s just me or if everyone else is experiencing the same issues.

I think the main problem I had with Clash now is the new respawn system. It feels like only half the team spawns at any given time

In clash, I'd only give out points for capturing the center and the enemy points on the map. This means that you couldn't win by sitting on your side of the map and defending the same point over and over again, you'd actually need to push into at least the center to get points. In this system I'd also made it 3 or 4 points to win, instead of 5, and keep the final point worth only 1.

8:09 now I can understand some not being a fan of clash, I personally love it and do think it should be a competitive gamemode but to say “you don’t have a lot of time to evaluate where you need to go” seems like a very crazy stretch to me. You know exactly where you need to go after a point is captured, either a bit forward or a bit backwards of the previous point. You know what game mode you don’t get a lot of time to evaluate where you need to go? Flashpoint, because the points are literal RNG of where you need to go where as Clash is a fast paced fun and 0 RNG involved

I don't like how many 1-round game modes we have been getting. Push, Flashpoint, and Clash all end in one round no matter what, meaning that steamrolls are much easier than Escort, Hybrid, and Control. The quickest clash game (in comp) I saw was under 3 min while payload has a minimum of 4 min (iirc). But with the OW1 game modes, at least there was a second round/moment to catch your breath and a chance to make a comeback, but the OW2 modes are over in a snap. It feels very "splatoon-y", however splatoon is built around even its ranked mode being quick so it's easier to requeue. But when in OW, it just stings that much more.

The idea of retreating back to a previous point I imagine is CRAZY foreign to newer players who never got a chance to play 2CP in OW1 I wouldn't be surprised if the "love it or hate it" split occurs relatively cleanly between OW1 and OW2 players In addition, the Polar Lucio skin is also a recolor; saw it was missing from your graphic It's a recolor of the base OW2 Lucio skin, just with a hat lol

The complaint about Battle Pass is a little baffling to me since this is a core issue from Overwatch "2" from the very beginning. Only a handful of the themed skins are actually in the Battle Pass while the rest are in the in-game store, costing much more than the whole Battle Pass each skin, to rip more money from the players/customers. To me it was especially revolting in season 2 with the "Minotaur" Reinhardt skin being only in there. Perhaps only now people are finally feeling fed up with this practice thanks to the terrible state of this game.

Thats always been blizzard tactics like, they pretend they listened but then they reverting back without even an announcement. BUT WHENEVER THEY DO OTHERWISE, THEY PUT ANNOUNCEMENT ON SPEAKER. Season 12 is remarkable even the new hero and the new skins. But kind of lackluster. Like I miss 6v6 and find it odd that new heroes don’t have newer skins and cosmetics. But most of all, how they dumped PvE. If Juno is the last new hero during OW2, they better bring back certain things, like PvE for example. Even the skill tree.

I really don't get how content creator thought its OUR FAULT that we didnt support it enough and preferably to doompost it Blizzard was announced that they gutted some of the feature and cant deliver what they had promised. On top of that, they charge people to play it. It was only THREE missions with barely enough replayable value other than using it to pass the time while getting suspended. It was what OW2 promised to be, focused on story and made a constant support for PVE. But now, half a year have been passed for 2024, and we never get story event ever again bcs the entire PVE and some part of art team got fired. Blizzard really didnt get that part of what made OW interesting is its lore and gorgeous characters model... Without the lore, its just another battleborn that slowly withers to die

Not only did we get the opportunity to try out the new game mode and hero but also I guess we´re used on how the seasons are designed. I mean we get new heroes and maps in a rotation and each season brings new cosmetics you can unlock through the BP or the shop. I think the fact that future PvE-Content is cancelled has to do with it because even if it´s not everyones cup of tea it was something brand new or rather something we didn´t see as frequently in the past where we got a new PvE-Missions during the Archive-Event each year. The Story-Missions didn´t have much to offer gameplay wise but lore-wise and I personally found it exciting to see how the story developed but most likely we won´t see how it will continue and therefore we´re back to the old concept of the game especially now where they might consider bringing back 6v6. I still do enjoy the game, playing the different heroes (my favorites but also practicing others) and unlocking cosmetics for them but I do miss PvE-Modes you could just play in between PvP-Rounds to relax more which is why I still hope that in some way the Archive-Missions will return.

I have a problem with the Season pass as well, last one I got was the Mercy one, and also it comes with the Widow skin and they both look great but last season we had A TONS of recolors, and really niche ones that almost cross the line to ugly, and although Ashe's mythic is great, getting it with the rest feels like a punishment and you'll be better off getting it 2 seasons later with a better BP, but oh boi here comes the new one BP! and once again these skins are meeh at best with extremely random heroes pick, well, except for the fact that they intentionally skip Kiriko and other super popular heroes every single time. So once again I Really like this season's legendary, but do I like it enough to get the rest that will surely just be throw in the vault and never see the light of day again? no, so I guess I'll have to wait until the last 7 days and check the trailer for s13 to see which one is the least worst. And the worst part is that we keep getting these surveys with really fun and cool ideas but somehow we get boring ones at the end, except for the shop OF COURSE

Even though the season has a lot of content compared to previous seasons, that’s kinda the problem. By having everything in one season it made all of the games problem stand out even more. We get a new hero but they have no skins which is one of the only things we can use the old currency on and no surprise element since we already got to play her. New mode and maps but we already got to play the mode and it’s the only new aspect of the game you can enjoy as soon as the season starts since there is no new game mode and everything else costs money. A really cool battle pass theme (best aesthetically imo) yet there are barely any that fit the theme, the theme is Egyptian yet Ana got a Japanese skin and Pharah got a shop skin that almost looks like an epic and Ram who was originally Anubis got nothing, tank was skipped and they gave the Anubis mythic to a dps that wasn’t Pharah the mythic looks incredible but essentially only has different masks and colors since the body customization is progressive (I feel like this worked with tracer cus of how it tied in with d&d feeling like different classes) like who is using anything besides the tier 4 option The majority of skins this season are recolors that cost more than the bp yet they can’t make an epic (which is basically a recolor) for their new characters, the skins that are actually new keep going to the same characters, Venture was confirmed to have to wait a minimum of 8 months since release before their first legendary yet Kiri has more skins than some ow1 characters. I was so hyped for this season because of the Egyptian theme but after I logged in and spent $40 to get the bp bundle for the echo skin, I was just like “now what?” There was nothing new to do upon the launch of a new season that has so much content. I feel like this season just makes people see the short comings of ow and think of all of the things they miss from ow1 and false promises of stuff in ow2 (PvE cough cough) even more than passed seasons. I still love ow and I’m obsessed with Egyptian skins (specifically Illari and Echo since I main them) but I’m just disappointed about the things we’re missing out on. They are making ultimate bundle worse btw We used to get a PVE strapped into it. Then they add highlight intro, some sprays and emote. Then epic skins. And now theres none but two legendary skin. I don't get why they are greedier everytime while also reducing content we got and making more recolors

Very sad to say that OW2 is a degenerated game for casuals like me. It’s just a storefront for skins. Early access of Deadlock and Marvel Rivals beta puts OW2 to shame for fun and engaging. Can’t wait to spend my whale money on games with devs that know what they are doing. OW2 will kill the franchise if they don’t go back to 6 v 6 and cinematics for hero releases.

Regarding clash, I really wished they had just used the Team Fortress 2 model. Being able to get a point by defensively capping a point on your team's half of the map just doesn't feel right.

Clash and flash point are great, but they really need to be either in their own section or in arcade. I really miss playing regular payload and capture maps. The majority of what pops up is always those two or push and almost never regular maps. Snort.

When Reaper does get a Mythic Weapon there's no saying it'll match up with his Mythic skin. Ana's upcoming weapon doesn't seem to match at all with her skin. ... This is all to say that if they are removing Mythic Skins weapon customization, Mythic Weapons should have much greater customization (especially in regards to color) to match skins.

The "wave" respawn system makes clash better, i did have a intense match as doom on it despite being the only dive hero on the team. Was more fun than previously as you are able to push back on a point despite being taken out. Though monetization and such is still so greedy.

Ow is in an awful state rn. I have been playing since day 1. Nearly every day after high school I would come home and play ow with friends for hours. Did this for years. Been playing ow2 since launch and even when all my friends stopped playing it I still played all the time. But I've stopped since they did the increase in health and hurt box sizes. They game is so punishing for no reason. You die instantly but to kill anyone takes 4 ults that may or may not be counteracted by one cooldown from an enemy support. There is no play making, no getting to pick a main. You either play meta and play it perfectly or you lose. Every hero is so powerful yet no one can do anything. The game just feels *awful* to play right now. I hope they can figure out how to fix it.

Venture got slightly better this season thanks to the health nerfs and them being untouched otherwise. Literally the only reason why I still play Overwatch is cause I just love playing Venture

Skins is what make heros popular even if they are not meta. Probably not the best thing that I've played clash in ranked only, I think the chaos is funny but it usually feels like a one way stomp, I like when both teams are on what's basically flash point or bringing a game back from a 0 to a win. Reaper looks cold in the mythic but I wish the bp was more in the theme, favorite bp was the greek one.

What I hate about this season is that almost all content is recycled. Like dont get me wrong, Juno and Hanaoka are new content. But they were used to hype up season 10 and 11. Season 10 wasn’t enough hype because in season 9 Venture was released in early access. Basically what they are doing is releasing content from future seasons in seasons where the hype is low to keep hype going, but then when the future season arrives everything is old but we can’t complain as technically we are receiving new content. Heroe seasons no longer hype up as the hero was used to hype up another season. We should really go back where hero trials and map trials weren’t a thing…

All seasons for me seem to do barely anything. It’s just a number that keeps resetting and increasing to keep players engaged. Ow1 didn’t have that number and players willing stuck to the game with every passing year as they slowly improved the game. Same thing is happening now if we forget their seasonal updates dates. They just scheduled the patches in certain seasons now which is more healthy way for the future I guess.

This season does feel kind of meh. The "clash" maps are just a reminder of what was lost from the original game, Hanaoka and Throne of Anubis aren't as fun as the old maps they're based on. Juno might be a hit with the Rule 34 crowd but a small bunch of colour variations does not a skin pack make, and this includes Venture (only because hiding the fact she's actually a woman is trickier for the costume designers). Overwatch 2 still feels ultimately like a smaller game despite all the additional content.

Regarding the Recolors. Pharah got a new legendary Skin (Season themed) but its again a Epic Skins disguised as a legendary. And on the note that Blizzard does not have the capacity for new skins. Many skins are Outsourced to other company's, like Airborne Studios in Berlin, Germany. maybe it s a sign, that Overwatch cannot invest so much money and need to take the cheap route?

I've been playing overwatch for a while now and I've came back to play the new season I have many questions where is the story line and why are cosmetics considered as content and what's the point of the theme if there's no story to it

I do enjoy playing as Juno and on the Clash mode, and I am looking foward to seeing Ana's Midnight Sun weapon. Other than that, I honestly don't care for the recoloured legendary skins anymore, I'm pretty sure there'll be someone out there who do prefers the different colour palette skins over the previous colours of the original legendary skins. But if a skin is really not worth buying, then just don't buy it. Simple as it is. If there one thing that's been getting even worse for this game, it's obviously the balancing. Solo tanking still sucks, andit's gotten worse ever since the new tank passive came along. I'm genuinely fed up with 5v5, and I am tired of 5v5 apologists trying so hard to convince everyone that it's all perfectly fine because "Oh wow we got shorter queues time now". I'll still be waiting for more news from Aaron and the dev team on what they'll be doing with the testing on 6v6.
