Excellent episodic commentary. Easily the best one for me this time as it answered a lot of questions and reasons behind some motives. I actually like full length uninterrupted flashbacks as it lends to a more cohesive storytelling.

Mother aniseya was trying to take mae away from the violence and to a safer place

@@CC-ot9pn well that's her power, it's kinda obvious she wasn't focused on how it was going to be perceived but on how she can move her child away from the violence and also it was supposed to appear that way so you can see how sol automatically assumed she was gonna do something sinister 🧍🏾‍♀️

IMO all of the characters acted stupidly and without motivation except for the one instance that gave you trouble. That's the only instance I think Sol, in particular, acted in a reasonable manner. They showed Mae standing at the door crying for help (from the fire, but nobody knew that at the moment). Motehr Aniseya started disappearing in smoke, the smoke seemed to travel to Mae and then Mae seemed to start disappearing in smoke. Sol erroneously called her "Osha," so I guess the implication is that he thought Mother Aniseya was harming her, so he responded by immediately killing the Aniseya. What was inexplicable is that Aniseya planned to allow Osha to go, but she was acting just the opposite and being casting veiled threats at the Jedi. Everyone else acted inexplicably wrong and stupid for who they are. Also, seven weeks on Brendok, with technology snooping devices and all being Force sensitive, yet the Jedi hadn't found a big castle with its own high technology and full of Force sensitives... _within walking distance of their camp._

Actually they are real life twins. Osha (Lauren Brady) and Mae (Leah Brady).

Hey ATF! Another great reaction and review vid. I think Sol stabbed the mother out of fear of what she was doing. He also saw who he thought in the moment was Osha start to disappear and probably thought that was the sacrifice Mae mentioned. So in a split second he reacted and attacked. He didn't think he had time to see what was going to happen. Especially if he thinks she is potentially trying to harm Osha. As for Mae and the book, she is only eight years old. She saw the Jedi symbol in the book and it made her angry. On top of the anger Korril already stoked in her. She started to burn it and it got out of hand. I'm sure a ton of right year olds in real life have made similarly dumb decisions. Lastly you questioned why it took so long for the Jedi to find the witches. Well it's a big planet so they probably were in another location to start and slowly moved closer to where the witches fortress was located. Anyways, can't wait for the finale. Be well and see ya in the next vid. 🙂

So when the mother was transforming she was going with me to Ohsa From the locked room with a broken lock and a raging fire to let her go. From The locked room and to let her go with the Jedi. Of course Sol didn't know this because he was so blinded that they use dark side force "magic" and you know he's a Jedi. The Jedi are quick to judge. And Osha was just a little kid being manipulated by her dark side leaning mother

Mother Aniseya going shadowform in front of a Jedi was a huge mistake. Sol was trained from infancy to instinctively strike down dark side stuff like that. Going shadowform in front of a Jedi is begging to off'd. What do you think Mace Windu would do if some witch went shadowform?

This was an interesting episode. I did expect flashbacks but not an entire flashback episode at this point of the show. What I wonder about now is how they will wrap it all up within one episode. I mean, there are still so many open ends that I do not see much of an alternative to a second season, which I would certainly enjoy...... if I do not have to wait a few years until I can watch it. The story of The Acolyte is relatively disconnected from the rest of the Star Wars universe, so continuing the story with another show, as it happened with The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett and Ahsoka does not really appear possible. So, will they wrap it up in one episode? I really wonder. Anyways, I have seen others call this episode "The worst Star Wars has ever been." I really cannot agree to that. Nevertheless I think it took too much time away from the current events. We will see if and how it will have an effect on the story flow of the season as a whole. Once I have watched the final episode I will wait a week or two and then I may rewatch the entire season in one go to see how I feel about it. But as of now I am still having fun with the show. I like most of the characters and the story. Is it the best of the shows so far? In my personal opinion I do like some of the others a bit more. Is it the worst Star Wars ever? Not even remotely. Honestly I think they did a rather good job with it.

Osha tried to fail the test but Sol said correct to sniff out her lying. After that talk she tried to pass and said planet. But you notice Indara checks her answer too because she doesn’t trust Sol to be honest because of how attached he’s acting

If I saw somebody doing something that made it look like a child was disintegrating, I'd assume the worst as well. It was an understandable mistake.

Like it or not, this episode is meant as a twin (ha...) to the episode from Osha's point of view. They're aiming for a Rashomon-style reveal, but it hasn't been done spectacularly well, and the timing/pacing of everything (both episodic and seasonally) feels really out of whack. And also weirdly cheap, given how many recycled scenes from a second camera we saw. Also kinda annoyed that the only fight we've seen with a Jedi Wookiee (after killing him ignominiously off screen in a shown earlier/set later scene) was him attacking his compatriots under mind control by witches. And yes, Mae - fire causes fire, didn't you know child? This is a perplexing show...

Hey, Jazmin! A very frustrating and underwhelming episode that didn't provide the clarity promised. Naturally, in keeping with KK's "Force is Female" credo, only female Jedi Indara maintained her composure and innocence while her three male flunkies were all out of control! SMH. You misremembered Sol's test of Osha. She answered accurately after he encouraged her not to throw the results. There is no great Jedi crime here! It was just a series of misunderstandings mostly precipitated by the actions of the witches! The worst thing Sol did was retaliate protectively against a display of Dark Side magic performed by Aniseya when she simply could have told him she was in agreement! He then saves the twin who wants to be a Jedi, naturally, when confronted with the prospect of losing both! This is so dumb. Why couldn't these four Jedi meditate to pinpoint this vergence rather than aimlessly traipse about Brendok for 7 weeks with metal detectors taking soil samples? How did these witches create this Vergence when everyone else in history had failed? Why did Torbin feel so guilty that he committed suicide? How did the fortress of stone burn down? Why couldn't Sol snatch both twins off the catwalk with the Force? Did the witches actually die from some psionic backlash when Indara expelled them from Kelnacca's mind or were they just stunned? Does Qimir have anything to do with any of this nonsense? Lee Jung-jae is acting wonderfully. I liked seeing some Wookiee action. It's nice to have the Great Hyperspace Disaster from the "High Republic" stories factor into the narrative for connectivity. Headland's intent to diminish the Jedi's stature by highlighting their hypocrisy and arrogance is not being supported by the plot. Plagueis or Tenebrous better show up in the finale because, otherwise, this show will have been a total waste of everyone's time and broke canon for nothing!

Personally, I don't think having a second flashback episode was a good use of this show's time. It would have been better to advance the present-day story and build up hype for the finale. Unless they make the finale episode long, I don't see how it will be satisfying. I think we're going end with a cliffhanger for season 2.

So episode 7 was a total recap of episode 3 with a few extra bits and all we learned that we didn't know already is that lightsabers are very fickle instruments! Maul can get sliced in half and still live, Sabine can get run through and walk away with just a flesh wound but a lightsaber can be used to kill someone as they transmute from a physical being to black witch smoke and you're ok with that? This whole season has been inconsistent in every episode, Master Ki Adi Mundi appearing 40 years before he was even born, fires in space that burn like a camp fires, the use of metal detectors to find evidence of a force vergence plus a whole load of other non sense! You've got to wonder where the budget of $180 Million went because it certainly wasn't on the writing. It seems Disney/Lucasfilm will hire anyone who ticks boxes on a diversity check list OVER anyone who has a genuine love and knowledge of SW lore and it really is quite sad!
