I have held back on watching this due to "decades of drama by Star Wars gatekeepers" born way after 1977 since the internet was invented unlike me who was born way before 1977 🙂 After I picked you as my "online Night-Owl" of the extended Star Wars universe years ago, I found my love for the universe back in the world of "internet controversy of culture wars". Especially since so many other, much more unbelievable things exist. People existing isn’t “DEI” or “forced Diversity” it’s just a depiction of reality. I watched the 1st episodes, im hooked into the mystery. Sol gave my Qui-Gon Vibes from the start its probably why I like him. Jecki, she hasn't done much but I think she's favorite in this show. Also, "Yorde is Yorde."

These eps were *incredible* and I’m already *totally* hooked. Sol is already one of my favorite Jedi ever, and the way they’re portraying Yord as more akin to prequel era Jedi (vain, a bit arrogant, maybe corruptible, leans towards violence and draws his saber every chance he gets, etc…) is so, so cool. Showing the order moving that direction, towards the way they largely are in the prequel era, from a more organic perspective is so, *so* cool.

The BoSS ( Bureau of ships and services) may be meddlesome twinks that took all the Meknek jobs but their automated starship crash mitigation systems (space ABS, automated landing cycle, and lane correction) seem to be top notch even if the crash harness is trash.... I don't think she contacted her sister through the force at all (it's not like Rey and Kylo), it's confusing, but I think it was sort of the force giving her some insight. It's not a vision of the future, almost more of an image of past and present? I'm not sure we've seen that in star wars exactly like this, but I think it was kind of hinted at. On Dagobah, Luke saw everyone currently being tortured in Cloud City. I hope this show keeps up the momentum, also, I understand why Jecki doesn't like Yord. He's in love with himself, and very aggressive, especially for a jedi.

I don't quite know what to think of Yord yet. He seems to have a reputation, but I'm not sure how to describe him. Maybe something like "stick in the mud"? Well intentioned but young Obi-Wan "don't go against counsel, not again" -ish. Hes definitely very straight laced and maybe a little dogmatic. So yeah, like a young Obi Wan but tellingly I think he's meant to be a stand in for what the Jedi are about to become and the ones we encounter by the time we get to the fall of the republic and the clone wars. Wanting to do right but maybe being a little too overzealous and inflexible, and definitely self assured to the point it becomes a flaw. He's not quite Prequel Era Jedi Council, but he's getting there which I think is the point :)

I am so frustrated with the amount of Gaslighting from the Few Acolyte Fans that are Left. I would always watch you and many other reactors, I just can't anymore :( most of us love POC and Women in many other movies and TV Shows but just because most of us don't like the Acolyte all of a sudden we are Racists, Sexists and every ists and isms. 87% of the people voted against The Acolyte on Rotten Tomatoes, and that includes against all the Positive Review Bombing. High Republic aesthetics aren't really my thing. Yol, the cute padawan and pip carried the whole ep. Yord's a mid dork so far (yes, he looks like a Greek god without his clothes on and I both 'mire and envy the dude but his eyes are up here) but there's potential for him graduating to a character before the end of the season. The main character isn't that good _so far_ *but* main characters in general tend to have these same issues often, so we'll have to wait and see. I don't really care about her or her twin because so far I've only been told about their emotional arcs, but I haven't really been shown enough. I feel like I'd need to know more about what they want so that I'd have something to empathize over. The episodes are a bit too short, feels like they overcorrected from Andor.

Well, my two cents is: Coruscant looks beautiful. Mae's wardrobe is kickin. She only won the opening fight by fluke. ALL of the droids are cool, although naming one Pip hard on the heels of Fallout is a bit weird, but he is very useful. I will continue to enjoy this series, but two points-I am getting a little tired of padawans who are always a bit broken so they are always causing stress for their masters, and seriously-a full blown fire on the outside of a ship in SPACE? Other than that, it's a good show. And Amandla Stenberg is lovely.

I got suspicious when she went from using the force to make precision attacks with bladed weapons, to barely being able to pull Pip while it's the size of a data pad towards her. Osha has very little control of the force, and that's probably why she was expelled from the Jedi Order. Mae on the other hand has clearly received advanced training.

Is it only me that finds this story-line and everything else completely trash? To start off, main character extinguishes a fire outside the spaceship with a mini extinguisher... in the vacuum of space! WHat? A teenager assassin managed to kill an aged Master Jedi quite easily... what? Another Jedi commits suicide... the hell? This is just crazy. And the Jackie Chan, Donnie Yen, Jet Li, Steven Seagal martial arts moves we didnt see on future timelines with the Jedi Order.

Really can't agree with LJ's excitement about this one. Felt a little flat for me. Music wasn't memorable. Dialogue was all exposition instead of you know actual conversation. All the Jedi were really wooden in their delivery of the bad dialogue. The fight scenes were well staged but not sure that's how Jedi fight? Is it? On the positive it looked really nice with some great locations and cool aliens and droids. So just like a bit flat. Just as a comparison rewatch the arrival of Baylan and Shin as opposed to Yord and Tasi. One good the other not so much.
