Greatest Weakness for me with Disney Series nowadays...too Short. What happened to the Time when TV-Shows had one hour Episodes and 22 of it in a Season....(Babylon 5 for entire 5 Seasons) Just 30 to 40 Minutes and 8 Episodes seems the modern Standard...no Wonder Character-Development is coming short...

It’s not the characters doing the acting. It’s the actors doing the acting. The poor acting is a valid criticism. And you shouldn’t be afraid to say Amanadala Stenberg was doing some terrible acting while Dafne Keen was doing great.

The only way I've been "watching" this show is thanks to the many youtubers i watch doing reviews on it. I have to say i have a theory going on in my head that our lead characters aren't who they acfually are. My thinking is the Mae is actually Osha and Osha is Mae, and they both took their siblings name at some point as sort of a remembrance of being together.

I feel like Andor was the most refreshing look into StarWars that Disney has greenlit; I found myself caring about prisoners building crap like a LOT. Incredible cast, story progression & tension. Not one lightsaber or sexy kind of sell that you normally see in productions. Every scene was intentional placed before us to progress the story arc & the runtimes were really like: ep 1-3 are part one & so on for every 3 episodes and that pacing really sold the vision of Andor and just what the hell we’re watching across everyone I also discussed this with. Stellan Skarsgard killed it as well as Andy Serkis. I enjoyed most of the characters and wasn’t annoyed with the writing at all.

That true, I will admit while I may have my own issues of the Acolyte like the whole Anakin thing but overall I’m just curious to see how would the finale turn out then we may decided our judgement for this series. I don’t like how people just say the series is bad when it is only 4 episodes? I do wonder why the cliffhangers from Andor work when they ended their episodes but didn’t with Acolyte?

Can we talk about the pacing and editing of this show. It feels so quickly edited even when nothing is happening, it gives zero chances for the characters to just exist in a scene before it moves onto the next scene.

The question is what can you expect from an episode that is just 20 min long (preview and credits don’t count) and a series that ist under 10 episodes long. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Taking that in consideration i still like the show but i am in general disappointed by all modern series.

I don't get this show. Mae's motivations are weak at best, the jedi seem unorganised and like the 3 stooges at times. There is so much content available for Disney to adapt to screen - Tenebrous, Bane, Plagueis, Ajinta Pall, Revan, Treya, Ragnos, Exar Kun the list goes on and on. Yet they come up with this garbage.

Yeah spot on . I like the overall plot of the show and even understand why Mae would do what she did, but instead of spending time on important stuff to the story we get drawn out parts with no point and some cringe dialogue moments that don't really serve a perpose either. Hoping other episodes are strong. I do think there's a lot of potential here.

I loved Acolyte(KOTOR2)! The part where Osha(Exile) is being blamed by the Jedi for killing Jedi(Mandalorians) and has to save herself by tracking down the four Jedi and by the time they get to the one on the planet with a bad vibe check, they’re already dead! Then they have to face the Sith Lord Sion(Smiles McGhee). Oh man! So good!

I really enjoy the moment when Mae realizes that this mission is not a test but a chance for enlightenment. Either you succeed in understanding yourself and the cause or you die. That sounds like a true Sith thing to me.

crazy theory I developed in 2 seconds cus something about the osha and mae performances felt weird...is this a parent trap situation? did osha and mae swap places back when osha shot the stun? osha blankly asking yord to kill her sister and mae being bubbly with Basel was what finally got me to go 'wait a minute...' And thank goodness I'm just watching Justice League Unlimited, X-Men: The Animated Series, Ojamajo Doremi Sharp, and HeartCatch PreCure for my downtime instead. Shame YT just wants to spam Acolyte nonsense to the algorithms, which makes every morning not be a happy occurrence.

I think the forest should have been a dark side nexus and that Kelnaka should have been driven mad by it. It would explain the Jedi being ‘scared’ and forgive the waste of a Wookie Jedi by Darth Dentist. Mae!!! I got whiplash from her change of heart! I got a bad feeling she is just going to be a hollow character if she can give up her revenge so easily and change her motives so quick😕 first trying to kill her loved twin and now this ! I do think they should have released 2 episodes a week. I finished this episode thinking “Seriously” as we got to wait another week now 😕

The show itself is getting boring and the stupid parts of the discourse is making me tired (I agree that adding Ki Adi Mundi was pointless but parts of the Internet are being way too insane about it)... Like I've mentioned elsewhere, the episode to me felt like a version of Doctor Who: The Legend of Ruby Sunday if I didn't care about Pyramids of Mars and the return of Sutekh, both episodes draw things out excessively to make sure that the cliffhanger makes it to the end of thr runtime and as a result things feel boring and too slow.

@@100StarWars I think you may be right. Even if I'm right, there's no question about it that there is more to him than he lets on. He's basically the Jar Jar red herring like the prequels. Plus, we're not even sure if any of these people are Sith. Granted they're doing a good job and hinting that the whole incident will be covered up, where as before we weren't really sure how it would fit in with cannon. But if it ends with them covering it all up. I'm okay with that. Plus the Jedi are so arrogant at this point in time. They 100% believe that they know absolutely everything, and that "The Sith couldn't have returned without us knowing." Those are just my 2 cents.

Genuinely lost interest in the show after episode 1 & 2 after hearing what they did, so Im only listening to whats going on via videos like this. Shame Now in terms of a show I actually like thats coming out, tou watching House Of The Dragon S2? S1 was so good and received much love from fans of A Song Of Ice and Fire. (Game if Thrones books) After the terrible finale of Game of Thrones. Thankfully these new writers actually listen and work with the author and helped save the franchise woth this prequel. In other words, what Disney should have done after some of their movies and shows.

Honestly I’ve found every episode of this show entertaining/interesting. My only complaint is the short runtime of this episode, hella annoying. But I think this is the most I’ve enjoyed Star Wars since the Clone Wars finale - those episodes hit me so damn hard.

Besides Disney's stupid run times, which just boggle the mind. I think some of the problems is the director. Compared to Episode 1 and 2, it feels different. I think it comes down to how its directed, well besides time, but I don't know if disney will ever learn that lesson. Paramount figured that out with more time you can make stuff feel more natural. So I think the issue's so far are, they haven't kept the same director from start to finish and they forgot give them more time. I think fixing those two problems could resolve many issues.

My friend great review👍I've finally been watching Acolyte and think that episodes 1 and 2 are good but the Star Wars fandom is soo divided about episode 3 but it had it's interesting moments. Episode 4 I really liked the ending and I can't wait to see who the Sith lord is. I don't understand when the Jedi Council are talking about Mae's Master then it's obviously a Sith because the Jedi in this show haven't talked much about the dark side and the Sith

This will be my final comment on this subject. Given the recent leaks about Disney I am not surprised that we got what we got with this series. I will just focus on Star Wars The Old Republic content from the legends series, and probably wait to see how Star Wars KOTOR Remake will look like on the release date (if we will even get this game) before buying it.
