I think that Sol actually knew that it was Mae and not Osha. Because he says where is your sister he doesn’t say where is Mae?

I've been thinking about this alot too- this just feels like a purposefully ambigious line that the writers made. If Sol knew it was Mae, wouldn't he want to arrest her? He didn't know Mae's plan about "turning against her master" and as it stands, Sol was the last target on her hitlist. If she knew it was Mae, he'd have cuffed her or tied her up at the least.

even if he doesn't know yet, i've also noticed that there was a scene where he notices her arm tattoo. and it might be the giveaway where he glimpses at mae that doesn't have that tattoo. idk just speculation.

The fact that Sol is the only Jedi alive and I suspect there is something dark about him after what Qimir said to him and then Osha questioning him. There is no way that the Jedi Council will ever know about this event, Sol would cover it up as he did with what happened with the Witches. This is what we are going to find out in the coming episodes. Also, Qiimir saying that he needs an apprentice might mean a few things. 1) He is the apprentice and he's looking for one so that he can overthrow his master 1) He really is not a Sith and a dark force user who wants to follow the Sith ways and the true Sith finds out and go after him by the end of the serie. I really feel that we will know who the Master Lord Sith will be by the end of the series. There is one rumored actor who has not appeared yet, David Harewood. Perhaps he will be playing the role of the Sith Master. From his acting credits from the past I can suspect that he might play the role of Darth Tenebrous. If he can be Martian Manhunter then he can play a Bit just as well.

As an Acolyte Hater, I agree... the fight scene was AWESOME. Not technically good like Dual Of The Fates, but best in a long while. I enjoyed it and totally agree that Smilo was playing with Jekki, underestimated her... losing his mask, pissing him off enough to end her there and then. To say Jekki cant hold her own against Smilo is like saying Obi-Wan shouldn't be able to kill Maul. It's a known fact that some Jedi suck at Saber dueling and others suck at force wielding. Jekki obviously was like Ahsoka, even in her attitude.

I’ve got a bad feeling about this. I assume they want to establish Kylo Ren as an totally evil character, though he is nothing but a tragic figure who was abused since childhood and therefore did evil things to become the evil person he was always meant to be in the vision of Palpatine/Snoke to be their tool. Which did not work! They want to convince us that “he got what he deserved” and therefore “needed to die” and “did not deserve to get at least a force ghost.” They won’t bring him back (like through the world between worlds or other possibilities). I bet they don’t want to add layers to this tragic character like telling more about his childhood (which would be a possibility in the Grogu movie). Ben Solo deserves better. :-((

The same people who claim Disney “legend” too much stuff while also claiming to be all knowing about all things Star Wars. Based on casting - no. And the Actors are awesome. They are doing their best but story is so predictible and boring it can be used as a guide how not to make a narrative. So its the director and the producer who have to take all the blame for wasting all those millions of dollars. All the actors are given so flat characters they just cannot expand and show their skills. Noone cares about gender, race or whatever AND instead of admitting the total failure in writing a good story fans are called racist. Why?This show is the disappointment in the Star Wars universe because of storytelling and lack of a reasonable character reaction. For example Sol leaving behind the bodies of his friends to rot? Yeah, right. Lets blame the actor for his character... Again, actors are doing their best.

I also thought it was pretty cool but "new" is a bit of a reach as cortosis is something we've seen plenty of times before.. for example the separatists were even secretly developing a line of cortosis driods during the clone wars. A few details to consider. When Quimir brews the poison for Mae earlier in the story, he references that they used it for hunting back home, indicating he too is from Bendock, he might have been witness to the events, or even played a role in them. He might also have been the one to rescue Mae. Secondly, Mae might still be on the mission to kill Sol without a weapon. And thirdly I wonder about Quimir's connection to Sol, I wonder if is a connection in the force or one of blood. Not sure there. I also wonder whether this was the plan all along, isolate Sol, destroy his padawan, then slip Mae in, in a moment when Sol will be vulnerable.

How is Qimir being the Sith lord some kind of secret. He was literally the only one it could be. The only other person on the planet who wasn't accounted for during the encounter. This episode has so many issues. In episode 1 they say the sith has been extinct for a milennia, yet qimir has just announced "you'd call him a sith". Yoda isnt noticing that theres a dark side user Killing multiple jedi. Its just mind blowing. Yes the choreography was good but from a lore point of view this is problematic especially if everyone from this show excluding qimir dies.

Anyway we'll see how it turns out. I do like Qimir as a character

P.S. It hurts me to say this, but I think Qimir was a little afraid of Qimir (and for good reason, since Qimir did end up snapping his neck like a twig). That's why he made the excuse about Jecki being a Jedi. I think by the end he had come up with a strategy to fight back (the utilization of Qimir's helmet) and mustered up the courage to help his Jedi friends. But I think deep down, he was scared to fight Qimir because of how fast, powerful, and ruthless he was.

Also, I am not 100% sure and I have to go back and rewatch the episode. I thought I heard Kylo Ren’s theme at one point with Qimir. Since I am a musicologist and have researching and written papers on all 9 films, I can find and pick these anywhere and for some reason I was feeling Kyle’s theme in the episode. What would this mean? Perhaps there is another layer to this story, perhaps he might be the first of the Knights of Ren. Just another thought.

These leitmotifs have specific references and no composer would do it without a reference to the original intent of the theme. There is always a reason why the theme is used, even if the original character is not in the scene. The Darth Vader theme has come up in the Sequel Trilogy in numerous places and John Williams even uses the Rebel Fanfare Theme in the Sequel trilogy every time the Falcon appeared referencing that it was used during the Galactic Civil War.

The battle scenes reminded me of Kurosawa’s Yojimbo ! One samurai manipulates two gangs and ultimately facing off against numerous adversaries by himself. Qimir mask /helmet was also so similar to the Japanese folk oni who lives in the forests with a huge mouth and fang teeth called Namahage. Very menacing and grotesque appearance. We know SW has always been inspired by Kurosawa’s movies. The dialogues were so layered and allegorical, Qimir calling out Jedi’s flaws and contradictions.
