Honestly, I was bummed to see Jecki die. She did very well for a padawan, especially considering she wasn't prepared to face a Sith Lord. She temporarily arrested Mae, she worked well with Sol with dueling the Sith, she broke his helmet, and altogether lasted longer than pretty much the entire group of Jedi apart from Sol. If she survived and were a little older, this might as well have been her trials to become a knight, not unlike Obi-Wan beating Maul on Naboo or Anakin's first duel with Asajj. Also, I hope the guy is not Plagueis. My hope is he's Plagueis' apprentice.

One big thing that wasn't mentioned. Bazil finds Pip's "head" and sniffs it. My theory is that Qimir is a canon version of Venamis. It would make sense with him using poisons and would set him up to be killed by his master (Tenebrous) and replaced with Plageius
@raymartinez53896 ай бұрын
thatd be pretty nice
@jlhillmann796 ай бұрын
My current wild theory tracks with this. Qimir is actually Venamis, and Qimir will do something to Mae/Osha in the finale that enrages Sol (probably exposing their past and then killing one or both of them). This will be done in the presence of his master (Tenebrous). Tenebrous will sense the darkness in Sol (you see it slipping through in this episode, like when he attacked from behind and when he almost killed an unarmed Qimir before Osha stopped him), and he will encourage Sol to kill Qimir because he knows Qimir is trying to betray him. This will be the final act that pushes Sol to the dark side, and makes him pledge allegiance to Venamis and become his apprentice (thus becoming Darth Plageius). Which would ultimately make this series the origin story for Darth Plageius. It would allow him to cover up any mention of the appearance of the Sith (thus preserving Ep 1 canon), and also start destroying the Jedi from within when he returns to the temple. And also explains why he tries to create life with his apprentice, because he has seen the result (the creation of Mae and Osha) and knows it can done through the dark side. To top it off, turning the sun (Sol) dark would also mark the end of the Jedi order.

@@jlhillmann79 Nice theory, except that Plagueis is a Muun species in his novel and graphic novels. I get that the show might not care about changing things, but the Plagueis novel only came out a few years ago, so it would be hard to retcon him into a regular human. And if they DID do that, well… I suspect the fandom will rage harder than they’ve ever raged before, and SW would be in a very troubled situation.

That would be cool but wasn't Venamis a Bith? Like with the theory of it being Plagueis who was part of the banking clan I'd hate for then to take already established Sith Lords and make them human, or human looking when there are so many alien species out there that we'd like to see.

I like the theory that Qimir is also from the Cove, created by the witches from the force and secretly living/training when Mae and Osha are children. This is actually possible, cause in episode 3 when Osha says "we are the only children here" the witches that are braiding their hair look at each other. Also, when the mother is talking about the life, the camera shows other witch, Qimir 's possible mother. This theory would explain how Qimir knows about what happened in the Cove and why he cares about the twins so much, because he's their half-brother

A cool reveal would be Darth Tenebrous showing up at the end to recruit a young Hego Damask II, (Darth Plagueis)
@jacksonmcdonald54436 ай бұрын
Would fit with the title of the show. These events set in motion how Tenebrous picks an acolyte that ultimately leads to Palpatine.
@jakedixon4486 ай бұрын
This is the most likely scenario and it’s been in my head for weeks now, he is 100% the apprentice, notice how when he speaks with Sol his vocabulary is very specific, he is looking for a pupil.. for an acolyte… he’s not looking for an apprentice to continue to rule of two he’s looking for someone to help him overthrow tenebrous or plagius ( I personally think his master has to be plagius and not tenebrous purely because of the steps tenebrous went through to manipulate the conception of Hugo Damask and that would need a lot more setting up than a few episodes in this series )

Another cool detail: The Master is using form 7 of lightsaber combat, Juyo. The form was used by sith like Darth Maul and was characterized by its wild, random strikes fueled by aggression (Like Yord described). This led to it being banned by the jedi order. Star Wars was never the Sistine Chapel or Citizen Kane. Fans who remember the OT as some over the top Shakespearian masterpiece IS THE PROBLEM and the delusion. None of the movies were ever that good. They were fun science fiction adventure stories to enjoy, like Flash Gordon, Star Trek, Back to the Future, or Alien ... but if you hold any of these cult classics to the RIDICULOUS standards these delusional fans are nowadays, all of the movies fall apart. The OT has MASSIVE plot holes, and terrible acting at time, and I realized that when I watched it as a child... but I still LOVE those movies. And I hated and still hate the sequels. I suspect Qimir is an apprentice not a master. He referred to Mae as his potential acolyte, so yes... a master to Mae but I think he has his own master yet to be revealed, either Plagueis or Tenebrous or possibly someone like Mother Koril who conjured up dark magic to raise or empower him. Qimir has his own untold reasons for wanting revenge against the Jedi and has burn scars on his arms that may be related. He clearly knows Sol, who I also suspect made a deal with Mother Koril or the witches early on. Sol could even be Qimir's father. SW likes to link characters together and George did it constantly with Luke/Leia, Vader being Luke's father, etc..

@@cacogenicist Yeah, it seems pretty obvious that he knows him other than from the shop they were surveilling. Qimir asks Sol "you don't remember me?" then Sol acknowledges there is something familiar about him. Qimir seem to know what happened back on Brendok and that Sol never told Mae and Osha the truth. If he doesn't know him he knows an awful lot about him. I think Qimir was probably there during the fire when he was younger. It would explain his burned/scarred skin and motive for revenge. Even after Mae said she no longer wanted to kill the Jedi Qimir said "the master" wants you too.

A subtle hit to his Jedi and inner Darkness similar to (although not as extreme) as Vadar during the "Obi-wan" series. I thought it was well done, although I'm a little late to the party so I'm sure others commented on this as well!

Prediction: Sol will be the acolyte and new Sith in the end. How do you kill a Jedi without a weapon? You kill their very belief in the Jedi Order. You kill who they believe the Jedi are. We know Sol and crew did something VERY bad 16 years ago, and we have been told before, and specifically in this episode, he is wearing his own mask and hiding his dark side. Is Qimir the master or apprentice? Don’t know, but I’m going with he’s the apprentice looking for someone to assist him in overthrowing his master. In the end, Sol will “die” like Anakin “died.” Heck, maybe his Sith name will be Darth Plagueis, maybe not, but I do believe, in the end, Sol will be the one ending up as a Sith.

RIP Jecki. And Yord, I guess. But I really liked Jecki. My theory is that Mae and Osha are a force dyad, but it's because they are the same being split into two separate bodies. If you remember, Mother Koril said something about the Jedi discovering "how" they created the girls. Suggesting that they did something "unnatural"... like maybe used dark side magic to split one child into two... dark side and light side parts. Also, I think it's possible that Qimir is the apprentice and Mother Koril is his master. Before this episode, I figured Qimir was the Sith, but also thought the telegraphing might have been a misdirection and it was actually Koril. And finally, I think Sol knows very well that it's Mae and not Osha, but he's going along with it for now... for reasons.
