I’m pretty sure Yord was recording the fight for evidence showing that Mae was alive. The blinking red lights on the front of the binoculars/camera and the red recording dot on the HUD kinda gave me that impression. Another fantastic video! Keep it up!

@@mopnem ah yes being a dismissive and disingenuous person is never a wise idea for an adult to be my friend... calling people who voice their displeasure and criticize the swill disney puts out (exceptions for andor, mando season 1 and 2, rogue one) does not make them kids, or adult children. lets try to be an adult and recognize you are acting like a child by implying people who are negative towards disney are lesser than you (and yes you imply that heavily with your word choices). also using IMDB ratings rotten tomatoes and other such websites is never a good idea for trying to gauge the quality of a show.... you only use those sites to push agendas or narratives depending on what the score says or for what you are looking at. and you will see a lot of review bombing OR review boosting depending on what topics surround a show. if its LGBTQ+ tokenism you will see a lot of people beg on twitter for random people to make accounts to leave 5 star reviews to "fight the chuds". both sides of this are cringe and they both dont care about star wars or any franchise they do this with. be it shills or "haters" if you are not a real star wars fan and you dont care about the canon/lore being accurate and having the star wars continuity respected then i can see why you are confused to why the majority of fans are not happy with disneys treatment of star wars. if you are a casual fan, a tourist (meaning a pretender fan like many reaction youtuber channels like grace) or worse still a brand fan... a brand fan are people who love anything star wars on a shallow level and they love the brand its self and they do not care about its quality or lack there of... just that they get more brand products to consume. is the acolyte the worst star wars show? no, kenobi and ahsoka are worse than the acolyte at the moment (we still have 5ish episodes left as of this comment) book of boba fett is worse than this so far, and mando season 3 is worse. however, the acolyte is getting pretty close to ahsoka levels of bad writing. also no one ever said star wars was the pinnacle of amazing writing... disney cannot even do the bare basic levels of writing and cannot rise even to the bottom of the barrel level the prequels managed to achieve. so, instead of being an ass and saying all the people who are negative on this bad show are children or adult children... maybe you should listen to the arguments and valid criticisms we and the majority of others have on the state of star wars... you might be shocked to learn a thing or two about why people are mad... or you can keep pushing that narrative and defend a multi billion dollar company who does not care about you in any way, shape or form.

For the longest time, I was excited to see a Star Wars TV show or movie go beyond the core Skywalker saga and narrative thread. But after so many disappointments, this concept has been turned on its head for me. I tell myself: whatever happens in this show has no bearing on anything else "currently" going on in the Star Wars universe, so I won't miss out on the lore(™). Therefore, this has been the first piece of Star Wars live action content that I've not spent a single minute watching or paying attention to. I'll wait for the final reviews, but I don't expect the show to be good. Even just the look of it turns me off. Enough with cheap corporate visions making these shows be nothing but grey mush already! Give your directors, actors, concept artists, musicians, choreographers, etc. time and freedom. Trust in them! Stop trying to jam a square peg in a round hole! Star Wars is a vast freaking canvas. Let creatives cook ffs.

I watched it on a highsense U6k 65inch at least 8 feet away. 4k hdr. No grainy footage. Clean. Yes it’s an entry level model on sale I got for $500 US. Maybe I need to watch it again on pc,iPad and tv just to make sure. Though I watched it on Tuesday not Wednesday. I live on the east coast of America. Hope this helps as to why allot of people seam to complain about this video stream quality issue.

Revenge of the Sith and Clone Wars are great, I get why people like the originals more because they're more written like a traditional movie and have very good writing but Prequels and Cone Wars do so many things better and nobody talks about that

@@ninvusoogoar6098 I mean Clone Wars specifically clears everything else in terms of world building and lore and giving you detailed information on why and how the two George Lucas trilogies happen, plus they don't have the limitations of Live Action since its an animation and no other Star Wars made me as emotional as Revenge of the Sith, it felt like the climax of Star Wars in general(Order 66)despite its flaws

@@Ar1AnX1x if you need a tv show to make your trilogy function then its a bad trilogy, objectively. i love revenge of the sith but its not a very good movie compared to the originals which are objectively better written and made films. i rewatched clones wars recently and i noticed a fuck ton of horrible writing and story arcs in it that i never noticed before when i was younger... it doesnt age well and it does break canon in the later seasons a bit as well as have too many filler episodes. its no where near as trash as rebels though. but people give the animated shows far too much slack simply for being kid show animation when it comes to the writing and plot

well deadpool had whats his face as the invisible guy purely for a throw away gag... the purpose of her in this show is an old marketing manipulation trick. basically you take actors from beloved movies or tv shows and plaster them all over your marketing. so stupid people will assume the show or movie will be of equal quality, then have them die off super early so you dont have to pay them a lot and you can just use flashbacks for scenes they shot all within an afternoon.

The first two episodes have been the definition of “mid” for me. I enjoyed them but so far the characters feel a bit shallow and dull. I’m going to stick with it and hope it gets better because the high republic period has so much potential.

Aiside from that this review focuses on the dialogue of the show when I think theres an even bigger issue with the writing. Like they literally have force mind reading in one scene then conveniently forget it later in the episode. They also snatch the escape pod prisoners but don’t even bother going to the crash site to find osha. I think that should have been more focused on in the review instead of comparing bad dialogue with George Lucas’ obvious prequels bad dialogue.

Not a fan of this show. Other than Carrie Ann Moss, there isn't anyone of interest to me. The writing is bad. The actors chosen for their parts don't work for me, and the last thing I want to see is an ugly lesbian being the lead character. Yes, I said it. Two thumbs down for this show

My biggest problem with the show is the exact same problem natla had. The dialogue writing is terrible. Exposition heavy dialogue is terrible, and ruins a show quick. The pacing is also terrible. There are so many contrived things happening in the story. Like oth of the twin sisters having the exact same hair, or osha somehow getting to master torbin before everyone else, or her surviving the ship falling from orbit onto a planet. How hard would it have been to just have her pilot a damaged ship? I also dont particularly like the hand to hand combat. It doesnt quite feel right. I think they need to adjust it a bit. Also, the word mechanic already exists in the star wars universe. No need to starwarsify a word. Imo, the show is the definition of mediocre. Good choreography and visuals simply cant overcome bad writing. The first 2 episodes are easily like 4/10 and the worst live action star wars material disney has given us so far, imo.

i think it goes over YOUR head kiddo... when people say star wars was never political they are not talking about political themes like how the OT was an allegory to the nam.. or the prequels being about how a democracy falls... when people say that they mean star wars was never used as a platform to push political ideologies onto people in such a ham fisted, lazy and utterly obvious way. there is a difference in having political themes and being political... one is not the same as the other. lucas made it a point to never bring IRL politics into star wars but instead created a universe for escapism. this is not a hard concept to understand so you are either A) an idiot B) willfully ignorant to the points people are making or C) you are 100% aware what they mean but choose to ignore it in favor of a narrative you wish to push. also woke is now considered an umbrella term that covers a broad array of subjects like inter sectionalism, ultra 4th and 5th wave radical feminism, identity politics about race/gender, and more! while most of these projects are not "woke" the people making and writing them certainly are and that insane and incorrect/out of touch mentality bleeds into the work they create in many ways
