Sex/porn addiction isnt actually a thing. It can be a compulsion but not an addiciton, they are two very different things. Theres been quite a bit of study on this, with addictions like drugs and gambling when the addict sees the subject of addiction their brain activity spikes and they get excited. With sex/porn compulsion the opposite happens, with the brain activity lowering. Additionally the sex/porn compulsion isnt its own issue but always is a symptom of something else like depression or anxiety and if that is treated it goes away while addiction is its own disease specifically. Also the majority of people who describe themselves as porn addicts actually use porn an average amount with no harm on their external life and instead believe show because of shame. I would recommend read the studies done on this topic because they all show that porn addiction does not exist. The goal of treatment for these people is to get them to have a normal relationship with porn and sex tbat does not stress themselves or others while with drugs or gambling the goal is to get them to stop forever and never touch it again

It’s completely normal to be attracted to naked images of the opposite sex. The problem arises when young people fall for neo liberal propaganda designed to make them feel bad for being young and promiscuous. So they seek fulfilment through pron. There is a reason the late 90s was full of divorce, and it’s because the youth of the 80s faced the exact same culture they face now. It’s not about creating happy family units, it’s about keeping people locked into our debt based systems and making sure they don’t flee for greener pastures during periods of economic depression.

The good thing about this addiction is that it’s relatively easier to stay sober when compared to other addictions, the hard part is getting there. And you’ll probably have to learn how to avoid certain words or images. I know a guy who won’t walk by a Victoria secret, or watch a sex scene in a movie. While that might be extreme for many, it’s what he needs. But unlike chemical drugs your brain is not actually dependent on pornography. It IS as real an addiction as any of those but chemically it’s different. Meaning that once you break free, your brain can actually go back to how it was before, with time. Good luck my friend. Remember not to shame spiral. Look that up. If you relapse. It’s ok, it’s going to happen. You’ll get there. It’s good to feel a little disappointed when you relapse but don’t be ashamed because you are human.

As someone who was heavily introverted and had essentially no social skills as a kid, due to my porn addiction, I had to learn to live without, which frankly is the best thing a person can do. I can agree on the exposure, I stumbled onto pornography at 7 from clicking one “wrong” link on a redirect site. Seeing what I saw left me STUNNED and confused as I hadnt even learned how it actually “goes down” by then. It definitely impacted me and the way I can easily and nonchalantly sexualize things for no reason, as well as partake in chronic activities mixed between self and coupled. One thing I dont like to call it is an addiction because it is not in the DSM-5 , because when I don’t partake in those activities, when I CAN’T, I don’t go through withdrawals the way an addict does. I just indulge in it IF I can. Ps. That thing about Kanye putting porn on while creating, DIPLO told a story about his own experience and how Kanye had an anal scene running on the screen 😭

It's kinda funny how much of this can be related to his Bipolar disorder. The hypersexuality, excentric behavior, the 'god talking to me' (hallucinations).

This might be the addiction more common in hip-hop greater than codeine. I know that it has been document that ken-carson and lone also dealt with this kinda stuff and I feel like oddly some artists push this such as sexyredd. Its pretty gross and its sad to see that kanye has dug himself so deep into this hole that its going to be a multiyear struggle to get out...

The problem with Addiction is in how we as a society depict it. We tell them to get better but ostracize them at the same time.

What’s your addiction? Is it money, is it girls , is it weed? I’ve been afflicted By not 1, not 2, but all 3 She’s got the same thing About me , but more about us She’s coming over So I guess that means I’m her drugs Just let me peak now I mean damn I’m so curious She’s got a lover So the lies and the lust is a rush Times of the essence I need you to be spontaneous Roll up the doja Henny and Coca-Cola Then I’m coming over Cause it’s never over Chorus: Why everything that’s supposed to be bad make me feel so good? Everything they told me not to is exactly what I would. I tried to stop man I tried the best I could But.. you make me smile. Lyrics like these exemplify why Kanye means so much to people. In interviews and on songs he’s so uniquely himself yet so relatable.. He basically says to the world this is who I am and this is how I feel and I know it’s unpopular or not ok to say publicly or else people will think I am bad or weird but I’m gonna say it anyway… and we may not always agree or relate to his life or thoughts specifically yet we can empathize. I learned a lot about empathy being a Kanye fan, you know at times he’s hurting and may not do or say the right thing but you’re willing to try to understand or may actually understand because what he’s saying hits home. I’m guessing for the people who don’t like him can’t relate or just forget that bigger picture that he’s a human like the rest of us that just happens to be great at expressing himself through art that’s mainstream and popular.

That just goes to show you that even though Kim Kardashian was so beautiful. That wasn’t enough to stop Kanye’s addiction. Nor was it able to stop him from cheating on her

Addictions are anything used to regulate our emotions instead of regulate them by ourselves with emotional intelligence. Gabor Matte has a lot to say about it. _Emotional Intelligence (EI) is about understanding and managing your own emotions, and recognizing and influencing others' emotions. It helps you make better decisions, handle stress, control impulses, stay motivated, understand people better, and build stronger relationships. EI is key for good communication, empathy, and handling social situations effectively._

This is an important video, it shows the dangers of what a lot of people view as a harmless activity. This dark habit leads to self doubt, self destruction, and will destroy relationships. Thank God that freedom can be found through Christ. Like Kanye I was gripped by this addiction from an early age, but. Christ gave me freedom in adulthood and I can honestly say that I am no longer a slave to this dark master of p*rnography. James 4:7-8 “Submit to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”
@101iswhatsup6 ай бұрын
This is rough. He just announced a pron venture. I feel for Ye, he's very conflicted. He's admitted it's problematic for him, yet he's going to promote it. That's almost like a drug dealer selling crack to their fam. This is the thing the bible speaks of. When you clean house, you gotta keep the door closed. 1 leaves and returns with 7, the state of a man is worse than before.

Watching this as a 24-year-old virgin loser, I can see how having sex isn't a thing that can fix your pornography addiction. It is very unhealthy but for some reason, I can't get away from it. The media normalizes sex work and the Internet makes it impossible to block yourself from accessing porn...

Everyone has one form.of addiction or the other. Small addiction , dangerous addiction, silly addictions, unknown addictions, phone addiction and the list goes on. So long the addiction isn't life threatening to anyone, then it is what it is, a simple pleasure of life that makes us human. Let he who has no form of addiction cast the first stone. By the way eating and watching movies till late can also become an uncontrollable habit that become addictions.
