I'm still in awe that attempting the weed-whacker saw-blade is pretty much a universal male thing. I had that moment of contemplating whether that would work to deal with a stubborn sapling literally about 2 days before I saw this video for the first time. The only reason I didn't was, you guessed it, because I looked at both tools and decided there was no way they would fit together. I just about choked on my drink when he brought it up.

The thing is that the F-35 Project is extremely expensive, yes, but not NOT waisted money. if your aim is to basicly end any ideas of visual range combat and at the same time put as many roles as possible in ONE aircraft that also ahs to be extremely stealthy compared to anything out there and you make it work in 98% of all the things you wanted (even with some problems now at the start) you wonÄ't be able to make it cheap but it will save alot of money in the long run. you don't have to develop it 10 times from scratch.

Fun Fact: The F-35 in the grand scheme of things when adjusted for inflation isn't even that terribly expensive of a program. But it certainly was more expensive to develop than it needed to be for a variety of reasons. Considering what the plane brings to the table and the development debacle, I'm shocked it is only projected at 1.7 Trillion over its whole lifetime of 40+ years. The economics of scale have brought the per-unit price of the F-35A down to ~80 million USD. That's not too much more than a Block 3 Super Hornet and 2/3 that of a new Eurofighter with WAY more sensor capability and stealth.

13:11 The G11 also had a system where all the internals are able to move. The way it works is that when you fire, the internal mechanism, including the barrel and magazine, start moving back under recoil. By the time all three rounds have fired, the mechanism comes to a stop, which is when the shooter feels the recoil. This is why you can see the magazine moving in the footage.

Heya, military nerd here! The F-35 program actually hasn’t been a waste of money (despite the setbacks). The cost of each airframe currently is 80 million USD with the new Pratt and Whitney F135 engine. The aircraft got a bad name after an article was released on ‘War is Boring’ by a journalist named David Axe. The article detailed how the F-35 fell short in many ways when dogfighting an F-16, which is a near 50 year old 4th generation fighter. Here’s the problem though, that F-35 was incomplete. It’s stealth coating was not applied, it’s off-bore sight was unusable (meaning it had to aim it’s nose at a target, which the f35 was not designed to do). It also has g limiters placed on it. Meanwhile, the f-16 had no restrictions whatsoever. In modern combat trials, the F-35 has scored kill ratios of 20-1, and in the case of the F-35B, it scored a whopping 24-0. Trust me, the DoD gets many things wrong, but this plane was not one of them.

1.7 trillion dollars for the entire lifetime of the program is not a lot if you compare it to other fighter jets. Yes it’s a lot of money but it’s over a 30+ year time line and it includes salary for staff and pilots, buying the actual jets and maintaining the jets. War has never been cheap and the f35 jet is comparable in price to many 4th gen jets so it’s a good choice if you’re nation is looking to acquire them. Wish sweden would stop buying saab gripens and buy f35s that whould actually survive a proper fight.

@@hbsavage0387true, it was built to be sold to other nations, that is why it was over budget, because it needed to fit multiple roles for multiple nations so the r&d budget went out of control. @hbsavage0387
@hbsavage0387 11 ай бұрын
@@trollingpcgames I forgot I mentioned that in another comment that it was meant to also replace our outdated and craft also it didn’t necessarily go over budget cause of it being a multi purpose fighter that’s actually kinda the point of it. 7:11 You're not wrong - iterations of Colt AR type rifles are like iterations of iPhones. By that I mean some intern hops on a computer terminal in the back room, does some photohop to look at the iPhone 15, move the camera .5 cm and suddenly it's an iPhone 16. With Colt it's more like "Oh, we changed the thickness of the buttplate and gave it a slight angle so it's easier to shoulder, and also our 34th flavor of ar from 5 years ago? yeah, we took that exact model and slapped in a new bolt so now it fires .300 black out." then that is sold as a whole new gun - a decade late to the .300 black party - and nothing's new about it aside from what anyone could have done by buying an after market bolt...

7:02 my dude, you should look up Glock if you're going go on about a firearm company selling the same thing with only minor differences. They have 30 models over 5 generations and the only thing different between them is the size and caliber for the models with an ambi slide lock, a different recoil spring and no finger grooves between generations. And the worse part about it is the hype they have for "new" stuff. I remember a few years ago, Glock had this big ad hype up about a new item of theirs. Everyone got excited, thinking 'oh damn! they might be bringing out a cool new polymer frame carbine, finally'. Then the item in question came out, the Glock 44. And it's just a G19 size frame chambered in .22LR. That's it. Hype crashed and burned. Then rumors went around that Austria was looking for a new carbine and that they had picked Glock. This threw people for a loop. And the thought 'oh damn! they might be bringing out a cool new polymer frame carbine, finally' started getting thrown around and then the leaked pictures came out that Glock later confirmed. It's just another AR-15, but this time with 'Glock' written on the gun. Ridiculous. All this from a company that has "Perfection" as their tag-line, while most owners of said firearms change the parts (sights, mag release and slide stop being the three most likely). And this is coming from someone who's carry gun is a Glock 19.
