"‘Remnants in Time’ is the first chapter in this story. It marks the final moments of a person's life and the journey that begins right after.
We wanted the visuals to strongly reflect the lyrics and the concept behind them, and transforming me into a demon was key in that. I'm a huge fan of horror/sci-fi and makeup transformations, so working with a professional makeup artist and the use of prosthetics was the coolest part for me!
This song - and video - is all about extremes. Angelic and demonic, fragile and strong, delicate and aggressive. It embodies a lot of what THE AGONIST is about.”

It’s heavy, it’s melodic, it’s everything we love from The Agonist. Vicky’s vocals are on another whole level, this girl just keeps surprising us. I love how the guys shine on their own way: you have amazing bass lines, the phenomenal guitar solos, and the furious drumming. The dynamics are on point and keeps the song flowing without getting monotone and giving us an element of surprise with the stops. I like where this is going... 🤘💣

Also is no one gonna mention the demonic costume/make up during the heavy parts? I'm not a fan of horror movies but it worked so well in this video, it added to the experience and intensity of the heaviness. It's like she drags you to hell for a glimpse. I love the way her vocals sounded “untrained” (for lack of better term) on Eye of Providence. It’s a major reason why it’s still my favorite The Agonist album, but yes, now she has different sounds under her belt and the best thing about how her vocals have improved is how clearly she enunciates. I feel like I never have to look up the lyrics to the newer songs, and I love that.

Yes, she improved a lot and I am so proud of her. 😊 But I have to say, in my opinion in Five her screams sound worse than in Eye of Providence - more strained, like a bit of struggle. I was worried about her voice and I was veryy happy to hear her improvement in Orphans. She sounds much healthier now. I would love to know more about her technique, for me it sounds like she changed the way she screams/growls, but I can't be sure. Can't wait for a new album. ❤️

The clean singing has such dissonant harmonies, that it's just as haunting as the screaming, if not more so! I can see why monks were banned from chanting diminished intervals. This band is amazing at their art! Vicky has become Super Saiyan and I love it!

Look im sorry, I'm from Montreal and I grew up going to every the Agonist show ,wherever they went,saint eustache,mtl,other small towns...etc, and I'm telling that Lullabies was the frigging summum for the Alissa led band,however since they have Vicky its a whole different band. I still adore it , but Lullabies was the bomb. It's like comparing Ozzys Sabbath to Dios both of em are amazing

Even though I'm a big Alissa fan, eye of a Providence is my favourite album closely followed by Orphans(together with prisoners).
