An invisible and mysterious force field descends upon a small actual town of Chester's Mill, Maine, USA, trapping residents inside, cut off from the rest of civilization. He didn't worry for a while because, as I said, she did that kind of thing all the time. But after a few days he started to worry and looked for her everywhere, even risking his own life to try and find her when the military dropped the bomb

@@maxwellquipey1 it's just aliens using weaker species as ant hills in the books the aliens called leatherheads broadcast this to other species as they watch them get tortured for fun or sometimes the leather leatherheads will commit genocide and have other "stronger" species applaud them while Barbara and Julia plead for a teenage leatherhead girl to spare them and after both telling disturbing depressing stories of ostracizatiom the teenage leatherhead girl realizes as she was ostracized her species is no better freeing Barbara and Julia as all three stare in horror seeing the mass amount of human beings littered throughout the area. I recommend the movie Fantastic Planet where humans are abducted by these colossal blue aliens with red eyes as called draags on the planet YGAM and humans are routinely murdered by draags, YGAM'S wildlife, other humans who have escaped Draag brutality are forced to survive YGAM while the Draags gas humans by billions every week. Stephen King said under the dome is supposed to be humanity's warning about us making contact with other species and how we would be treated as pests to be wiped off the multiverse and with the apathetic politicians in control right now that existential lovecraftian nightmare is something we as a species would want to stay fictional and never see to become a crisis in reality.

I love all the small interconnected plotlines happening under the dome, sad that one of them ended just as it was getting interesting (a priest radically becoming a cultish zealot). The plotline that kept annoying is anything that involved junior. He is such a despicable character since day 1 and the writers keep writing Angie as being helpless for "tension". The tension between the Priest and Hank Shrader is more interesting than Junior and Angie;.

Evaporation, condensation and precipitation can happen within the dome, the same way it happens in the atmosphere, which is essentially a dome of gas, i havent seen the scene your referring to, but, i do think that this can help explain why its raining
