@@TheStoryTillNow you are an incredible story teller ...and you all know how to have fun ... you have truly inspired me to get back to where I was 25 years ago and start the adventure for myself and follow in your footsteps...I had been exploring the Sierras, Cascades and bits of the Rockies and building a rig that would take me where I wanted to go when life took me miles off track. I now live in the desert southwest and have not been off road in years ... but i recently found my birthparents and 3 full brothers and 2 sisters living in SE Idaho and NE Utah who have been living the adventure their whole lives.. I have a 2019 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off road, and he has an 80 Series Land Cruiser that had a stage 3 restoration done late last year.. Everything was stripped down and replaced with brand new oem parts, or better, plus better seats.. That Alexander Mackenzie trail is the first place my husband ever took me overlanding, back before we were married, and I just love the entire journey lol.. I didn't know i liked the wilderness before that trip lol.. I'm a city girl from Tokyo lol

Hey Shaun, would you be able to ask your friend what rear bumper he has on his 60? I'm building mine up and I like that one, it isn't too big. I just got back from a week up in the Chilcotin. I went up Harrison Lake over to Nahatlatch, then up the west side of the Fraser canyon to Lillooet on the BC Hydro power line road. Molybdenite is now closed. Then up to Churn Creek park, and finally to Junction Sheep Range Park and Farwell Canyon. I saw sheep, but by the Dog Creek reservation across from Gang Ranch. This morning I woke up to scuffing outside the car and poked my head out to see a bobcat with a rabbit in its mouth. There are a lot of really cool roads in that area that hook up so you can avoid almost all highway travel if you plan properly. My only issue was the 4runner has limited range so if you end up hitting a closed road somewhere you might have to backtrack which could cause problems with the 4runner. I guess one way is to just load up with lots of jerry cans but I prefer not to have all that gas inside the car! Oh, I met Matt up Nahatlatch at the old ranger cabin by the river, from your first video there a couple years ago. It was a complete fluke, I just found the place randomly when looking for a place to camp and an hour later, he rolls up and we got talking.
