Probably decide to give them a pretty liberal allotment of fate points. They let you get out of lethal failures and a few other things. You remember all those near deaths? A good number of them were only non-fatal after a Fate point was burnt. It's a bit more clear after hearing it here compared to reading.

A lot of the "miraculously they survived" moments, times where the guardsmen survive things that kill all their minions nearby, or save eachother in the nick of time are, most of the time, fate point expenditures. 'Specially when they fight vehicles or anti-armor weapons, it's noticable. Which, I mean, still, that doesn't happen THAT often, mostly because "ambush with explosives" is a pretty blanket reliable strategy. That and Twitch "skipping" a lot of encounters.

formally all techpriests have robotic voices. some merely didn't remove the fleshy voice in order to install the vox system. with that said a long time ago jim only needed 75 minutes of organic recuperation and was capable of treating it as free time to do stuff in. so id assume it's very high considering the human brain dies in less than a week on zero sleep. tech priests as a whole are pretty brain damaged (citation needed) so they're probably sleep deprived to a certain degree but they have to have very snazzy organic cleaning systems to prevent the brain from shutting down because it very much will without sleep to repair it also most of their abdomen is metal and about half of their hands. plus mass gained via mechadendrites etc and not just "lost" organic mass to skew the ratio

Etterra Nope, machine spirits do actually exist. They're basically rudimentary AIs that are sort of created by the belief in them. They almost always have a shit-ton of quirks, though.

Fucking thing demanded you either did every prayer and ritual every single time you operated it, or it would simply not start.
