The XR, especially now in this trim makes all the other bikes in the range obsolete, especially for road use. Even the original XR was much much quicker in the real world than both the R and RR, this thing will just walk all over them now.

This bike looks amazing in the M Sport colours. Black hides all the amazing body work. I was at Motorrad today to book service on my S1000R, and the black S1000XR on the showroom floor was nice but indistinct. I know this M has the delicious, spicy powertrain, but you need to offer it with the tri coloured paint. The bike is absolutely stunning with the red white and blue colourway.

I second this. Why put black on a bike like this? It needs flashier colors to highlight the edges and contour of the bike. A white red and blue package would be slick!

I learned to ride with motocross, so the upright "attack" position was what felt natural to me. I never liked the leaned over sport bikes, so I got a naked sport, because it was more in a riding position I like. Even though I have a R1250GS, this looks like the perfect bike to replace the naked sport and the only other bike I'd ever need...besides the GS, I'm never getting rid of that.

Do you work for BMW? Just ask real riders. Ask GS owners who have bought Weiser Technik indicators that light up the whole indicator rather a few tiny dots when indicating. Ask the car driver who nearly ran into the back of me and when I stopped him, told me he couldn’t see me indicating. What was wrong with the previous BMW indicators or the rear light on the Gen 1 XR? They worked perfectly well.

Top , hammer , atemberaubend. Seit ich auf BMW umgesattelt bin macht das Motorradfahren noch mehr Spaß. Davor Suzuki, Aprilia und Ducati. Die M 1000 XR macht mich platt. Die Doppel winglets , das schwarz mit dem Carbon ist echt nice. Genau meins :) İch bin bei den Bikedays von BMW schon die M1000R und GS Adventure 1250 probegefahren, wollte eigentlich auf eine GS Adventure von meiner S1000R M 2022 umsatteln aber nun kann ich auch noch ein wenig warten. Die normale XR hat schon dampf und ist handlich. Bin auf die M 1000 XR gespannt. Mir gefällt sie bis jetzt auf jeden Fall... Das video ist super gemacht. Es sind schon vor ner woche Bilder im BMW Forum von der TT aufgetaucht. Aber das video ist ja mal genial . Super , freu mich drauf.

I rode sport v4s for over 30 years, bought the xr 20 model when it came on the market because I wanted to get rid of the forced sport mode, but keep the sporty thrill.... (Age?...) I feel the need for speed ! ... next year will be decission time,... it's going to be one hell of a retirement ride... still, I never was very conventional. I hope the colours won't just be Black ? ..come on BMW please get the colours right ...I absolutely love this bike. Was going for a TE,..now I'll hold on the brakes ..I want to see this and try it and then decide on the extra spend. 71 and still a hooligan..it keeps me young. 👍😀🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧😎😎
