Wow, listened first to Leon Todd demo and found it horribly harsh and trebly. Now with your playing and dialing it’s a lot more desirable ❤

Leon doesn't tend to dial in the best out of gear imo.

Leon's tones are always ear piercing bright and clangy.

IMHO, all Leon Todd last vídeos sounds thin and trebly.

You can tell by the look on Jims face the incredible pain he endured when doing the demo, the dude is a warrior!!!

Pain ?? Why ?

@@asianaxeman Its a joke, Jim Graff is know for having great facial expressions when he does demos. Sometimes he looks like he is in pure extstacy, other times It looks like he stepped on a Lego. Its one of the reasons he is a favorite YT demo artist to many. He is a great player but the fact that he gets into the demos is fun to watch.

Thank you for the demonstration. I like the preamp. Prayers for Jake E. Lee, one of my guitar heroes.

I hope Jake E. Lee makes a speedy recovery. Just a sad story!

For sure. It's crazy that it happened on the day of the release of his pedal too.

@@NStuffMusic yeah, crazy. And shockingly will probably help the sales. Hope to see him on his feet again soon…

There’s the Jake E Lee “clunk” that’s missing a little in the previous preamps. Sounds stellar in hard rock a mix!! Great Demo, Sir!!!!!

I can hear some noise coming through the clean tones. The stock power supply is ungrounded and should only be used when the pedal goes through the fx loop of an amp. For going direct an isolated power supply wil decrease the noise.
@vondragonnoggin2 ай бұрын
He has single coils on top of that making that buzz very noticeable. Also with the Volume up a bunch (about 3/4 up) and gain way down to get his cleans, it’s going to get the most noise coming through. He keeps cranking up the volume a ton. He could quiet it down with humbuckers, Volume down less than halfway and use the Power Amp he’s plugging into to get the actual volume, it would sound much less noisy. He busted out the 335 with humbuckers but never tried cleans on channel 1. Isolated PS, turn down Volume of the pedal, use some humbuckers with medium or lower output (and maybe not full up on volume for the pickups), and it’s probably very quiet. Have to watch a few more videos from other channels to get a good idea if it generally noisy or not.

sounded great. What other gear/pedals are you using? and was this direct or through a cab?
