In ference to the haters: There's an ass for every seat. Phenomenal guitar work. Warren's guitar is worthy of Dickie Betts. I saw Warren in Govt Mule . Part of Willie Nelson Show. Hes lost a lot of weight and was in fine form. Derek Trucks ever respectful, of the music and who's band he's playing in. Excellent solo without grandstanding.

Both guitarists nearly bring me to tears. But, I personally connect with Warren’s playing and soul. He leaves a lot of space in his solos which I think makes the licks even more effective. Miles left more space than anyone but man, I don’t even know what to say. Also Santana Live in south america is some of my favorite guitar playing if anyone wants to check something out.

All of them, Jaimoe, Butch and Marc, where allways the back sound of The Allman Brothers, but not the less important for the band. They all made a good work as ever in Desdemona, but don't forget Oteil playing the bass. All musicians in the band were and are the best on his instrument.

When a dying Gregg made his final trip to Muscle Shoals, Alabama to record Southern Blood in the same studio big bruh made his first mark in, it was great to have him back but a sense of sorrow enveloped the entire little town. Everybody had heard about his bad health and knew the end was near. One of the local TV stations gained access Rick Hall's fabled Fame Studios (the video is available on KZbin)where almost 50 years earlier in 1969, Duane had talked "Wicked Wilson" Pickett into covering Hey Jude and kick-starting Southern Rock. Now Gregg would complete the Family circle. They got a short clip of Gregg at work but it just couldn't be him, so frail and weak. At that moment, there was no doubt he was in worse health than we thought. Rick Hall, who had been one of Duane's early mentors was there to produce the project. Not long afterward, Gregg passed, followed soon after by Rick Hall and another Muscle Shoals circle had been completed. I HATE Father Time and would love to punch him in his jaw but he's always been undefeated and always will be.

If you Ike this version, listen to the one that is 1103 long here on KZbin. It is far better than this one. This is my favorite band, and this is my favorite lineup of this band, but I didn't like this version at all. Everybody has their own taste, I surely understand that, but when I came to look at these comments after hearing the song, I anticipated a lot of criticism. Derek was unique, as usual, but I don't know ...this one just not for me. The 11:03 version is my favorite version of all tie by far. On that one, I give Derek a 8 out of 10, and Warren a 9.5 out of 10. This one gets a 4 and 3. Let my murder begin 😳

Warren Haynes is simply BADDASS. I mean this guitar band has some kickass players. Duane Allman and Dickey Betts ..my personal favorite ....Berry Oakley on bass and move ahead to Warren and Derrick Trucks. Allman Brothers Band I e loved this PERFECTION this priceless combination of Master players .two kickass drummers and this voice Greg and his electric organ .... Hooked me in 1970-71.

+Cynthia Cisneros (A day in the life of) This band is probably my favorite of all time. (until the last 2 years when Pearl Jam is right there - I discovered PJ late in life! lol) I been listening to the Brothers since 1973. I know I am old....heheheh.....but I just missed them with Duane on slide. My sisters and brothers partied with them and were of the Hippie Generation that did the Piedmont Park Free concerts with the Brothers. I have been to many of their shows.....The last incarnation with Derek and Warren is to me right there with the orginal line up. What amazing soulful music to live my life to. I am blessed and ABB blessed me. I just saw your post and your smile and had to reply with some small token of written testament as to what this band has meant to me. Music is such a soul soothing experience.

Someone have ever noticed that Warren Hayes start the song with a Les Paul and finished it with a 335 ?

Yeah he tends to do that on the live versions I’ve seen on this song, I think he shoot for more semi hollow jazz sound on the solo of this song but I think he likes the Les Paul for the intro and the verses.
