@@dannycasson1551 Every one was as good as the last one! Seeing Warren Haynes go to battle with Dickey Betts or Derek Trucks, Dickey on stage with Dan Toler, Derek, or Jack Pearson, etc. Every line up they had was top flight. Gregg Allman was the best white blues singer in the land. They were inspiring and uplifting every time out. Very few bands play a different set each night of their stand and never leave you feeling like you missed anything. I made sure to catch both, or all three nights, how many times they played in my area. The live footage available provides partial proof of their ability as a live band.

Bro I just getting addicted to your reactions! Your background is Hip Hop and now you are experiencing my life’s soundtracks of IMO the best music ever produced, Classic Rock! And your digging it! When the music and lyrics were written by the band and when the music was played in real instruments by the band. Nobody writing music or lyrics for them. No canned computer bullshit pumping out the music. Think for a moment this was all done by young men in their late teens and twenties! Keep the flame lit! You are one of the messengers for today’s youth that their is some killer music out there they have NEVER be exposed too!

That version was on the Filmore East Live album dated 1971. Lead guitar is Dickie Betts. Slide guitar is Duane Allman. His younger brother Gregg is Keyboards and Lead Vocals. He is VERY BLUESY. That was the summer of '71. In October 1971, Duane was killed when he lost control of his motorcycle and hit a peach truck. The band decided to stay together and in the spring of '72 put out the next album called "Eat a Peach". Another great Blues song on the filmore album is Stormy Monday.

There's more than 40 years worth of material from this band, the best in the world. A cover song from Sonny Boy Williamson. This audio comes from their album, 'Eat a Peach'. It was recorded on closing the doors night for the Fillmore East in New York City. The video is mixed from different shows there. My favorite version is from a 6 cd set, released a while back, recorded in March 1971 there. It features some harmonica work by Thom (Ace) Doucette, who wasn't a member of the band, but a free-lance player and friend that played lots of shows with the band. This is a road you could stay on for a long time. As they say, "the road never ends". 😉
