It’s not exactly a justifiable job though we involved ourselves into a war that lasted a generation hell the gulf war attributed to this nonsense. I can respect his tenacity to become a navy seal but he was trained to kill people and do as the government tells him to do I can respect him wanting to keep his brothers in arms safe but that means killing a person on foreign soil in no way shape or form was the war he fought in necessary for the United States or justifiable we can easily be deemed terrorist from other nations. He also made a lot of money but giving speeches to large ceo companies no different than politicians going around giving speeches for ridiculous amounts of money and gaining favors so do not blindly vote for a man that is decorated soldier, one man’s medals are another’s man’s blood. I like jocko but soldiering is a job nothing honorable about being a soldier today or ever really and I was a paratrooper in the 82nd I did this country no favors just a job to lift me up a social class from benefits.

I'll be thanking Travis Mannion and keeping him and his family in my prayers. My grandfather walked the deck of his aircraft carrier as the burned bodies of his friends and fellow sailers were buried at sea. The kamikaze had hit their ship multiple times. He lived every day of the next 65+ years for them. I made the mistake of calling him a hero to his face. He nearly broke up and said he was no hero, he got to come home. The boys that didn't come home were the only heroes he knew.
