During his nearly 10-year career in America, Roncada raced (and beat) Ricky Carmichael, Travis Pastrana, and James Stewert, as well as just about every rider of that era. He won the 2000 125 East Supercross Championship, and came up just a few points shy of the 2000 125 National Motocross Championship. During his transition from racer to common man, Roncada fought a well-documented battle with painkillers and depression. Roncada left the sport in 2006, spent some time recovering from his demons, and landed a corporate job designing video games in Arizona. In 2017 they were designing MX video game using unreal engine.

He never beat James lol the 2 battles they had in 2004 James won. Vegas and hang town lol casual fans. He also never beat Ricky. By the time he went to America Ricky had moved up to 250s.

Yeah while on cocaine then he quit cocaine got out of shape and faded to black very quickly after those couple first years on fire. Allegedly.

Not on a regular basis he didn't. RC, James, and especially Travis were faster riders

Dam Stephane Roncada, a legendary name from my childhood when motocross was everything to me. I remember always hearing this guys name up front of the pack battling for the podium despite never knowing anything about him off the bike. Thats cool af, always was a big fan of you Stephane 🤙

When I was first getting into the sport in the late 90s, Stephane was my favorite rider. He was the most aggressive guy out there, and nobody wanted to see the #21 Kawi rolling up behind them. Funny how some things never change 😂

My dad still has a lighter with Stephane on it on his 2005 Monster pc kawi right when they switched from Chevy trucks. I think it was at the kawi test track

James and Chad only tolerate each other. Stephan, I don’t know of any sanctioning body that would endorse a rider publicly saying they’re going to take out a rider.
@tjtruth47935 күн бұрын
Allowing a racer to race the series he’s been racing and planned to continue racing is very far from an endorsement. If you say that it is, they’ve endorsed it countless times over the years. Riders mentioning taking others out often. This was about RC and the money and the legit threat the AMA saw that their cash cow could’ve been at risk

I watch your videos from time to time, mainly because of the high profile quests. These guys are from an era I was the most into motocross, a golden age for me if you will. It's cool to hear their insights. But.. Too many times, you find a way to inject your own thoughts into the storyline, and try to reflect yourself on the interviewees. Most of the time it doesn't relate to the story, as much as you'd like to think and it's not that interesting. Often times it get's unnecessarily deep, as you ramble on about your own experiences. I just keep waiting for the train of thought to return to it's tracks, and have the guy being interviewed get on with his story. I'm also pretty sure I've heard you talk about the negativity towards you, and you not caring about it a few times now. Again, in this interview it came out of the blue and left me wondering, what does that have to do with anything that was being discussed. The "You get what I'm saying?" after it, is quite a telling phrase. This is meant to be a constructive piece of criticism (everything is so easily considered to be "hate" these days), because I think as a whole, you're doing good things for the sport. Just make it less about you, and more about the guest. Thanks.

I never liked Carmichael. He has a big ego. And he named himself the "Goat." In my eyes, there's only one goat Goat Brecker, lol. I know Ricky was that good, though.
